I am so grateful for my good friends and family. I show them by doing things for them without being asked and helping out every way I can. My neighbors and I pick up each others mail and packages as wells pet sitting when we are away. My favorite way to show my gratitude is to give away the pottery I make.
Wiltshire has more to see than *that*. There's Stourhead, an estate with beautiful, extensive grounds, and an Palladian-style house; Salisbury Cathedral; Lacock Abbey, located in Lacock Village--the Abbey houses the Fox Talbot Photography Museum and was used in various films, including some of the "Harry Potter" franchise, while the village has several streets where the buildings are no newer than 18th century and remain unspoiled; Littlecote House, an Elizabethan country house, with an excavation of a partial Roman villa.
In 2013, my husband had to have his right leg amputated because of a knee replacement that went bad. He spent the better part of nine months of last year in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehab hospitals, and a long term acute care hospital. And in the middle of all of the ordeal, my father died. Early in the fall of 2013, however, I started keeping a gratitude journal and doing a great deal of research about gratitude. It made all of the difference in the world in how I experienced my life. Indeed, I found that I had never felt more grateful than I did last fall when we were in the midst of that ordeal. I have continued to keep the gratitude journal and practice disciplines of rejoicing, and I expect that I will for the rest of my life.
While we are all grateful for friends and family, when I am walking my dog, I like to stop and just enjoy being outside. I am grateful I live in a place that allows me the freedom to enjoy nature. Or to travel to a city for the museums and arts. When so many are being forced from their homes or feel trapped in their country, I have been given a degree of freedom that dreams are made of and I hope I never take that for granted.
Answering to the Hedgeable/Wise Bread Giveaway Question: Wow, what can I say.....whichever amount won will be truly appreciated for this upcoming Christmas season to purchase clothing/shoes and a computer for my daughter. Thank you.
I was recently fired and don't even have unemployment benefits. I feel like I was really kicked hard in the assss and landed in a hot sticky pile of shhhit. I worked very hard in my position but it wasn't measuring up to what they wanted. I figured that I would at least get unemployment benefits because I wasn't guilty of misconduct. However, in NC unemployed workers are basically guilty until proven innocent. In employment at will states, you can be fired for any reason with no warning. Workers need some protection. If I wish my former employer the worst of things going forward.
There are good timeshares out there, as well as there are people who feel happy about their timeshare purchases, especially those who enjoy to vacation at the same place and are not spontaneous travelers. Unfortunately, due to the big number of timeshare scams being committed against many vacationers, the industry has gained a terrible reputation.
Another great option is Amazon FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) There are apps (like Profit Bandit) that will allow you to scan the barcodes of clearance items at local stores and know instantly if the item can be sold for a profit on Amazon. The beauty of FBA is you simply ship all of the items at once to Amazon and they handle picking, packing and shipping your items when they sell so you can get back to your life.
My grandparents retired in their mid 60's. my parents retired in their late 50's and I plan on doing it in my early 50's. I will not totally stop earning money, but having had several examples in my family on how to do it the right way I've done what they did and then added extra investments in addition. It can be done but it takes time and a plan...start today!
Hi, I just discovered your blog and am very much enjoying it. I used to make my living as a freelance writer and sometimes think that if the internet had been a little further along then, I'd probably still be doing it...or would I, given all the electronic distractions that showed up in its wake?! But at the time, having both energy and discipline ;'), I got a lot done. Somewhere I'd read that people in office jobs waste about 4 hours a day, so I made it my goal to work 4 to 6 'good' hours a day and...did ok! And I'm hoping your blog will help me find that place again.

How exciting! Congrats on the upcoming addition to your family!
Honesty is always the best policy! That does sound like a good way to use the prize money.

Help! Are there any good secured credit cards out there that you can get with a recent bankruptcy (within last 2 years) and poor credit?
Most grateful for my hubby and children and now a grandson and the rest of our family.
I am most grateful for my husband this Thanksgiving!

The life I'm living right now. I have family, a loving partner and a job I can do at home (and that also helps people). Every day I feel blessed.
I'm most grateful for my beautiful children. I'm one lucky mama!
I would use this to do all my Christmas shopping which includes a few fitbits, among other things.

If I won, I would save the money for a rainy day. Love to feel secure.
