I recently had knee surgery and it has made me appreciate the ability to take a walk. If a person takes time to be grateful, even the tiniest things can make one very happy.
i am grateful for the wonderful, loving memories of thanksgivings past that i was blessed with when i had my father and grandfather still alive...they have both passed so for NOW in current thanksgivings, i'm blessed for the love i get from friends, my mom who just turned 70 this year and for my boyfriend who makes me feel understood, loved and brings me laughter. blessed indeed!!!
I want to comment to the guest that responded to Shevonne. Every person's PERSONAL time is way more important than money. Time is money in some cases, but our desires can be controlled and we can revert to necessity if we must. Though there are some that actually even struggle for necessity.
Don't lash out at her, it's her life and honestly we can all care less about what you have to say about HER life. She's doing what she feels like will make her happy. I personally would want to die knowing I didn't waste my time sitting around couponing for a few extra cents here and there. (I'm not going to be an extreme couponer bc I can't use half the items on sale. I usually make my list and look for coupons pertaining to that list.)
So don't you ever judge someone who feels like they are wasting time in their OWN life. You do what makes you happy, and she will do what she thinks will make her life seem fulfilling.
This is a great piece. However, I can only assume that the title actually underscores its true brilliance. This article isn't about "sounding" smart. It's about using one's own sense of language or verbal skills to manipulate certain situations and achieve desired results. It's about the outcomes. And it's great. It's essentially analyzing the grass roots of marketing or certain maneuvers that allow most of us to network successfully...because yes, the words we use mean the world to the ears and eyes that are directly in front of us.
I disagree with this post and the false assumptions. Living debt free starts by learning how to say "no." It was a learned behavior that now comea more natural. I think about my spending and if need be, I can tell myself and others no.
Making stressful financial decision is a part of debt free living. It was a complete mind shift. even seemingly small decisions can be stressful, because I wasnt accustomed to telling my money what to do. I allowed society and outside influences make those decisons.
You will have money fights. I am currently in the midst of a money fight. I live off a budget, using onlycash. My boyfriend freely likes using other people's money, ie, credit cards, with high interest rates.
and it drives me crazy because he's "moving" things around to cover for a purchase..
BUDGET...it's a word to fall in love with and you will and should always creaye amd follow your budget.
You will be able to give to any charity. But you are correct, it is a mindset...if you dont believe you can afford to give you will not give. However, start giving, even if it is a dollar...then do a self check and see if you dont feel a little better about your decision to give. I give more now because of my change in attitude.
Hmmm . . . How would I use the $1000 grand prize in Hedgeable’s Wise Bread giveaway this holiday season if I won? I'd add it to my emergency fund - maybe with an extra $1000 it won't keep getting depleted and I'd actually have a little more security. Either that or I'd pay some bills. Probably both!
I am most grateful for my family and my husband and our friends. We are blessed to know so many special people.

I'm grateful for my husband and the awesome friends we've made in St. Louis
I would use it towards my debts!
I would spend it on a new desktop computer and clothes for my kiddos :)

I am grateful for being alive, healthy, relatively happy and safe in all aspects of my life.
If I won, I would save this until I had an out of budget month and needed to buy extras!! Thanks!
God and God's blessings of family, friends, pets and love and hope.
I am most grateful for my husband. He puts up with a lot from me and takes up more than his share of slack.
Most grateful for the man Jesus and everything his life stands for. And my hubby who treats me very much the same way...
I'm most grateful for good friends. I express thanks by saying thank you. I last thanked someone yesterday for helping me.
I would like to pay off my student loan! That would be the best feeling :)

I would put it all into my emergency fund.
If I won $1000 I would use it on new furniture!

I would probably use it to travel! Because I'm addicted!
If I won the $1000, I would give my children a Christmas they haven't had in a long time
I would give 10% away to a family's dinner for Christmas and I would share the rest.
I would buy an iPad and tons of groceries from Amazon Fresh!

Not a problem. I was about to respond to your first comment: "Immediate service." Thank you for the recommendations. The last one is very important.
Thank you for the suggestion, Guest.
