I am most grateful for the last nine years I've been given since being diagnosed with stage four bilateral lung cancer in September, 2005. Each day I am with my loved ones and friends is a blessing.
I am grateful for all the people in my life who have loved, supported and cherished me during the most difficult season in my life. And my Heavenly Father, who placed them there.
I've heard more than a few stories of gyms that keeping the monthly bill going even after you've cancelled. It is made difficult to correct and in the end your refund will be issued after (only) six weeks. I once put (and paid for) a stop payment on the account to ensure a car lease payment when stop when it was supposed to. I'm very leery of setting up ongoing charges or deductions or auto-pay of any kind.
I am grateful every day I awake. Too many times the busy life we make for ourselves have created for us a world of grab and take. We get so lost in the want of things that we forget what blessings we have. Happiness is not achieved by stuff but by life itself. Being thankful you have a new day to live has immense power on your life and how you see each an every day. The simple pleasures of sight, taste, smell, breath and touch are too often taken for granted.
I am thankful for my family! They will all be arriving at my house and having Thanksgiving with me! I am especially thankful that my Elderly Dad is not sick anymore and he will be with us!
Great recommendations overall. I'd like to add the Embody Chair to the list. It is from the same manufacturer that makes the Aeron and was actually designed to surpass it. It is not as popular as Aeron though, probably owing the price, which is well over $1000.
EuroTech ErgoHuman is another top chair that was rightly included in this list, Note that you can also find it with a mesh back. Handy if you don't like to sweat in the chair.
As for Ikea Markus, it is only chair in this article I'm not so sure about. It is a budget chair for sure but what I read about it tells me that the back support may not the best for the price. It is certainly not a bad chair but perhaps somewhat overrated for what it has to offer. There are other good chairs that are not much more expensive than IKEA Markus that you should at least consider. One is WorkPro Commercial Mesh Ergonomic Chair. Looks sleek with lumbar support and a range of adjustments. It's a new product, though so I am sure about the long-term durability. Another budget option is Alera Elusion Chair.
If you check the date on the post, you'll see that it's from 2009. But you're right—I might well have been remembering tomato paste prices from a decade or two before that.
When buying and extended warranty it is very important to find out who is actually offering it. If sellers offer a third-party warranty then you should check the background of the company.
I could just say some lie like that im going to donate $1,000 to a pet shelter or some stupid sappy story to get on your good side or I could tell you the truth. If I won a one thousand dollar amazon gift card i would use it to buy my family, my grandparents, my uncle and aunt, ect. NutriBulletRx's because we don't really have the best eating habits and i really would like me and the rest of my family to live longer and healthier. We eat fast food on a regular basis and I saw the NutriBulletRx on tv and thought it would be a grand idea to share then with my family.
I would add that keeping a simple service/maintenance schedule can extend the life expectancy of your HVAC system. If you are a DIY kind of person then it is something easily accomplished. There are some safety issues to be concerned about so a consultation with an HVAC would be wise. The preventative maintenance could keep the upgrading your furnace and air conditioner an elective and not become an emergency.
I know people who have and love their NetSpend cards, but no one is questioning the service they provide here. We are addressing a marketing technique that introduces an unnecessary risk for unwilling consumers. My 12 year old received a NetSpend prepaid MasterCard Debit card with her name embossed on it. The card just needed to be activated. This presents two risks I am not comfortable with: 1. If some one manages to gain access to enough identifying information about my daughter they can use they can activate the card and use it for misconduct such as money laundering, etc 2. My daughter, who knows her own identifying information, could open a financial account unbeknownst to me and not fully understanding the terms and conditions. Why can't NetSpend just send out invitations to apply, why do they feel the need to send out actual cards to consumers who did not request them. Given the positive comments here, the company obviously provides a necessary service and has customers willing to promote them. Why not use that for the foundation of some more responsible marketing techniques.
I am most grateful my salvation in Jesus. After that, my sweet and loving family are the best things in my life. My favorite way to express gratitude is to give little thoughtful gifts and saying thank you! I said Thank You to my friends today who have been praying for some health concerns I've had lately.
Is there a contraction for "there are"? My pet peeve is when people say something like "there's million reasons" which to me translates to "there is million reasons".
Okay, I knew I might get some backlash on that last suggestion and between you and me, I went back and forth on it myself… here’s why I decided to include it:
Personally, I agree that everyone should have the opportunity to celebrate the holidays and no one should have to work if they don’t want to.
That said, there are those that have nowhere to go and no one to spend those holidays with and it’s for that reason that many restaurants choose to stay open and serve holiday meals. Having worked in the service industry myself, I know that there were many people who were thankful to have a place to go where they could be with other people… even if those people were complete strangers.
I also knew a few people who volunteered to work on those days for the same reason… they didn’t have anything else to do, so why not spend it making sure someone else had a nice holiday dinner? Others did it for the money – many establishments pay extra if you work major holidays.
Now… are the malls and stores staying open to extend that same comfort or are they looking to increase their bottom line? It’s probably more of the latter, but the end result is the same: there are people out there who would rather shop on Thanksgiving, for whatever reason, and the stores provide that option.
I did include other options first, such as connecting with friends and neighbors, volunteering and running a Turkey Trot marathon, but there will be those who choose to shop on Thanksgiving, whether I included that option in this article or not.
Ideally, everyone should have a place to go and something to do on Thanksgiving and again, anyone choosing NOT to work on a holiday should be able to do so without consequence… but that’s a separate debate. Being open for business on Thanksgiving is definitely not a perfect idea, but it does fill a need… even if it stems from a purely capitalistic motive.
As always, I appreciate ALL your comments… even the not-so-flattering ones.
Thank you J. Mae. You're not alone in suggesting a title change. A couple of persons on Facebook and Linkedin mentioned the exact same thing. Still, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the piece.
I am grateful thankful for my family's health this year! Nothing else could top that!
I am grateful for my family

Would be great to start 2015 with $$$ to invest!

I'm most grateful for my health and my dogs.
Very grateful for my daughter. She's only been with us for 6 months but its changed my life :)
The #1 idea seems like magic. I kinda want to burn some rice on purpose just to try it. It could be a party trick :)
I'm most grateful for my husband and kids.

It's all about the right idiom!
