Everybody what's to have a rich friend or friends for that matter. Reading this article just made me realize that rich friend while they come as a 'Nice-to-have', the may be to the detriment of ones personal growth and success. Thanks Max, this one is a great eye opener.
This is why renters will always be poor. There's a very big pool of things that you can deduct when you own a home, especially if it has a rental property attached....enough to potentially reduce your tax liability to something pretty close to the capital gains tax rate (15%). You get tax incentives galore just for buying energy efficient appliances, windows, etc. The PMI, prop taxes, interest, homeowners ins and depreciation of rental unit are all deductible. This necessitates changing your W4 withholding so that you don't pay too much tax per paycheck. Just buy and budget within your means.
I will be shopping on Black Friday this year. It will be tough. Shop with a friend so one can get a cart, so you can get your items fast and have something to put it in.
I will NOT be shopping on Thanksgiving - I will be spending time with my family. I will also not be shopping on Friday - there is nothing that we need so badly that I would subject myself to the crazies that will be in the stores that weekend. Yes, some people enjoy it, and it's a tradition with them, but I'll pass, thanks. :)
At this point in time, I don't have any plans to shop on Black Friday. I'm basically done with my Christmas shopping, so unless I see something that really makes me want to get out there and shop, I will be refraining. I do often go and pick up a couple things, but it is usually long after those waiting in lines have come and gone.
Cutting out pricey services is a sure-fire way to save every month, and cell-phone contracts can be overpriced an inflexible. GIV Mobile is an affordable alternative to expensive cell phone plans with its four no-contract “Unlimited Everything” plans starting at just $29/month for talk, text and 2G data and $35/month for talk, text and 4G LTE data. GIV Mobile not only has a wide variety of cell phones to choose from, it also donates 8% of every customer’s monthly bill amount to up to three charities of his or her choice. Such charities include the Kids in Need Foundation, the American Cancer Society and Scholarship America.
No way. I have never understood the appeal of fighting off mobs of shoppers to supposedly get a "deal" on items I don't need anyway. especially now that Cyber Monday is a thing. I'd much rather look for deals online and avoid all of the crowds!
I am surprised no one has mentioned ebay in any of the comments as a much better way to shop for souveniers. Why buy the overexploited and overpriced souveniers when you can just log into ebay and get pretty much any souveneir without the hassle of buying it in another place. Great read still!
Wise Bread should read articles like these for value to the readers before they post them. Nothing in this article gives any information as to how this couple got out of debt. A waste of time to read this.
This is a really inspiring story! I love to see examples like these where individuals have focused exclusively on dealing with debt difficulties and it has transformed their lives through improved saving habits in the future.
Currently myself and my wife are trying to pay off student loans and it's great to see the balance tumbling down :)
No. I never have and probably never will.
I always celebrate Buy Nothing Day after Thanksgiving.
Yes, Not necessarily to get good deals, but just to enjoy watching other people act crazy.

No! I am blessed to have almost all of the presents for my family and friends. I will stay home and read.

In a word, No. Are you kidding?
I think you should check your article for grammatical errors, especially if you are going to report on it.

I am not shopping on Black Friday...just not worth it. Deals to be had all season long!
I don't plan to shop on Black Friday. I much prefer Cyber Monday!
I will not be shopping on Black Friday

No, not this year. I may wait for Cyber Monday, but otherwise, it's too much stress to try to snag a crazy deal at the stores or online.

If I shop on Black Friday it'll be online. It's too dangerous in stores. People get crazy.
If I shop at all on Black Friday it will be online. I hate fighting the crowds and can get better deals online.
Yes, I plan on going shopping on Black Friday but I'm not going to go crazy or anything and get up at 4am and shop all day long.

No - I am going to avoid all the craziness by going to the library.
