I will be shopping from my computer. I have been waiting and have finally found some great deals on big ticket items that are on early Black Friday internet only sales. And free shipping.
I imagine. I used to love shopping at our local Walmart when Black Friday sales actually were on Black Friday -- it was SO quiet in there in the middle of the night, the best shopping time I would have all year. Now it is chaos, so I might skip that since I don't need any big ticket items! But we'll see what things I might like.... you never know.
It's another learning method about on How to Look Rich on Social Media. This is very helpful and useful for us. I learned and many great ideas here. Thanks for sharing the article. Great post!
Not sure yet. I will definitely be at Walgreens on Thanksgiving morning, to take advantage of some free-after-rebate items, but most of my shopping is already completed because I buy all year long.
Yup. It's a family tradition. But we're not out to find any "awesome/crazy" deal if we find cool stuff it's awesome if we don't it's okay. I like to people watch and talk to the people. It's entertaining. We don't have family in town so it makes the holiday interesting.
I'll also be buying some things online I'm sure. It was more fun in our last city because we used to see TONS of people we knew LOL
Definitely online. Not sure about in the stores... it depends on what I want or need that I might get at a reasonable time. Not going out in the middle of the night for sure!
I'm not a super expert on real estate, but I would do some online research on the area that you are shopping for rental property in. You want someone who is familiar with the real estate and tax laws of THAT area, not your own rural area. For example, if I were looking to buy real estate in Colorado Springs, I would google "moving to Colorado Springs" and look for blogs and message boards written by and for people who are moving to that city. I would ask advice about local real estate and tax people on these sites and then do further research on the recommended businesses using Yelp, Angie's List, the Better Business Bureau, etc... It's a pain in the butt to do all this work, but it's far cheaper than getting the wrong accountant or tax attorney. Or buying a bad property!
With the internet, you don't have to live close to your tax person. My husband has never actually met our fantastic accountant in person and she's been doing his taxes now for seven years! She mails him a template in January to fill out that he mails back with all his documents. She calls or emails him with questions or comments. You might try calling a few real estate companies in the closest big city to you and asking them for names of accountants who specialize in real estate and use that as a jumping off point for your search.
Here's some questions I would ask:
What services do you offer? (For example, help with an out of state rental property). What is your specialty?
When and how can you be reached?
Can I contact you after the April due date if I run into trouble?
What do you charge?
How are your fees calculated? (e.g., by the hour, project, etc. You want to make sure you know how much you'll be paying, including for any phone calls, faxes, and postage.)
What records and receipts do you need from me?
What happens if my return is audited?
Do you offer electronic filing?
Finally, without revealing too much about yourself on a public forum, you could tell the Wise Bread community where your rental property is located. Wise Bread has an international readership. Another Wise Bread reader might know the perfect tax person for you!
No way will I go out to shop on Black Friday. Anything I need can be purchased online. Those "doorbusters" of limited merchandise are simply a ploy to get shoppers in the door.
I am a Black Friday shopper and the main reason is to grab those deals since I'm always on a tight budget. I have found though that over the past few years I've noticed that you don't usually have to get up at the crack of dawn to get the best deals, you can go a little later in the day when the crowds have thinned out and still get your bargain, which is nice.
Nope. I'm almost done with all my Christmas shopping already and I don't see fighting the mob to save $5 on a blanket. If the deals are still there it was meant to be-if not I guess I save for a little more to get it for full price.
No, I stopped a few years ago. My sanity is worth more. I'd rather shop for deals online now. ;) I plan to spend the day with my 2 yr old son since I work full-time and take him to one of those indoor jumping facilities then grab lunch!
I always go shopping on Black Friday with my sister. We have a blast. I will not, however, shop on Thanksgiving day. This is a day to be thankful and spend time with family. The retailers are forcing consumers to choose between getting the best deal and spending quality time with loved ones. That totally defeats the purpose of Thanksgiving. It's Black FRIDAY...not THURSDAY. Be safe everyone!
I haven't decided yet.... I have yet to see a price on the items that I'm seeking that is low enough to warrant getting up early and standing in line...
Unlike last year, I don't need anything this year, so I don't plan on going out super early. However, my boyfriend and I will likely go out after the mad dash has ended to see if anything is left over and to just see other deals.

I usually don't shop on Black Friday but will shop on Cyber Monday.
Nope, I'll probably be working, just like I am on Thanksgiving. I only have my husband left to buy for anyways, thank goodness.
I will be, but online!
Unfortunately I will be working

Yes, it is a tradition, my daughter and I have been doing it for many years.

I don't plan to shop on Black Friday. I hate crowds. I much prefer Cyber Monday
What a waste of an article. Not everyone is such a narcissist who feels the need to post every moment of their lives.

Not worth the hassle for me! Can't handle the madness.

Nope - absolutely not. I'm not a fan of mobs or being torn to pieces over a toaster.

I won't be shopping. I dislike crowds and the deals aren't that good anyway.

Yes! I go every year but not super early
