I went for a special gift and found this painting that lights in the dark.

Its somekind of doual-view painting. I can see it during the day, but when is dark
inside the room, the painting is still visible.
Is this some kind of alien technology/ or is just some special
    wall art?
However, i decided to get it as a gift, but to buy some for myself too
    :).
I believe that in matter of gifts, this would be the
greatest. Do you feel the same?

  • 8 Things to Wait Until After Christmas to Buy   10 years 27 weeks ago

    Thanks for the great post!

The top 'after' Christmas item for me has always been gift cards! Many folks who get gift cards for Christmas, will go on sites like Raise.com and attempt to sell their gift cards for 10%-25% lower than the price on the card. Many top retailers are represented and I'm always looking to save some money on home depot or other big box stores, so sometimes will pick some up for myself as well.

  • 8 Vile Craigslist Scams to Watch Out For   10 years 27 weeks ago

WATCH OUT! Just got scammed today out of $1,500.00. I was supposed to do light cleaning and documents filing in a apartment. The couple/aka scammers sent me a check for 2k, told me to deduct $ 400 for my services, to start work right away, exchanged phone numbers and someone will contact me and give me the keys. They were moving back to town a week later in the apartment that I was cleaning. I received a COMPANY check, deposited it in the bank, funds were there the next day, kept $ 400 for myself and wired transferred via western and money-gram to their supposed landlord the remaining of $ 1500. Turns out that MY BANK showed fund available the very next day BUT that only happened because of my great credit with the bank, NOT because the checked actually cleared and of course, it turns out that two days later I found out from the bank that the scammers retracted the check and I was negative 1500 in the bank. So WATCH out because banks accept fakes and then hold us responsible. I will never get this money back because when I went to the police in NY and wanted to file a report and told them that I have wire transferred the money in Texas, THEY SAID that they can't help because it's a different state and not their jurisdiction. In the meantime the bank can close my account in any moment and decide not to open it again even after I pay back what I owe simply because the first check that I have ever deposited was retracted. So the scam: come clean the residence, we will arrive a week after you start, we are sending you a check, deposit it, deduct your week's pay and the rest wire transfer to landlord, travel agent, pay someone who will pay our utilities etc so GUYS ... PLEASE DO NOT make any payments before your bank does not tell you that , that specific check you have deposited cleared and that the bank did not simply credited your account with the amount of the check because of your good credit with them.. Good luck you all !!

I disagree with many of these. I always welcome useful gifts such as slippers and socks, and consumables such as hot chocolate and candles.

There is less coupons here in our part of Canada.
But I find the PC plus program and the MBNA cash back credit card at 5% can works pretty well. We saved 22% on our bill last week, only buying stuff we needed!

Otherwise, cooking, bread machine (huge saver), gardening and freezing works wonder!

  • 10 Depressing Jobs That Aren't Worth the Money   10 years 27 weeks ago

Although any job is better than no job and I am one of those people who believe you should never quit one job until you have another, there are many depressing jobs out there that don't pay much. Production worker in a factory, fast food, customer service, para-educator, etc. But, one job you didn't list is teacher and, in particular, special education teacher. Salaries are lousy for the amount of higher education required, requirements to "teach to the test" rather than teaching what students need to learn and taking the time to make sure they have learned new information is frustrating for all involved, the amount of paperwork required is mind numbing, and, best of all, all of that "time off" teachers have (with pay, haha) is generally spent taking more classes (to be considered "highly qualified"), making curriculum changes, and doing a myriad of other job-related things generally paid for out of their pocket.

  • Horizon Organic Milk: Is it All Just Lies?   10 years 27 weeks ago

Are you a organic farmer? Do you know what it takes to be an organic farmer? The fact is organic cows must be on a minimum diet of 30% grazing during grazing months. Grains fed to these cattle must be certified organic, which means no weed killer, no pesticides, and the seed must be organic non-GMO. GMO is genetically modified so that is stands up better to drought, pesticides etc. The term hormone is a term used for what is fed to the cattle to get them to produce more milk. Organic cattle are healthier on average from what I've seen. I have been a conventional farmer for many years and after much research have came to the conclusion that organic is way better and I am now a organic farmer. I feed my family organic food because I believe that it is worth the money. Also I know many organic dairy farms and in my area they are 30 to 60 cow family farms, in fact I only know of one bigger organic farm within 100 miles of me and that is a 300 cow family farm. I feel that you have a bias based on the only information available to you. I also have a bias based on the my personal experiences. Thanks for your time

Tonya, if you're concerned about the future, it's a good idea to maximize your contribution to your 401(k). Remember that you can contribute up to $18,000 for 2015 (same on 2016). While it may seem hard to reach that goal, take advantage of any windfalls that you receive throughout the year and find out if your employer offers a matching program. You got this!

You missed TEACHER in a poverty level area....these parents and teachers are the worst to deal with, and you can't just fire them like trump would...you have to be a superperson just to do the job, let alone, you would never get enough money to compensate for the ptsd you would leave with everyday!!!!

  • 25 Great Non-Sandwich Work Lunches   10 years 27 weeks ago

A couple of issues with this article: two of the non-sandwich lunch ideas are sandwiches, and then even more are wraps, which is a sandwich with a different kind of bread. The vast majority of the others require lots of extra time and effort and are only suitable for people with nothing better to do after dinner than to make yet another dinner, essentially. Lame.

Why does this person think crushed beetles and stevia are toxic? Sure, beetles used for pigments make a product not vegan but it isn't bad for you. And stevia by itself is a natural plant extract. Sometimes if you buy it off the shelf in powder form it is stablized with something else like dextrose or erithrytol (sp?) but stevia extract alone is very much a natural, calorie free sweetener.
