My favorite Holiday Tradition is getting the whole family together and picking out the perfect tree and decorating it while listening to Christmas music.
A very important rule is omitted...Clean up after yourself and your kids. It's very irritating and tiring to be constantly picking up and washing dishes, all while babysitting the children that they are so anxious to ignore. AND CONTROL YOUR CHILDREN. What seems cute to the parents may not be adorable to others.
Interesting article. While I knew that December and the summer could be slow for hiring I didn't realize that the fall (September and October) were a strong hiring period but that makes sense.
Cool, I really like the mobile scavenger hunt idea because it not just get up and go but it's pumps you up and really can brighten up attitude and spirits about going out.
I respectfully disagree with your connotation as to point number one. Yes by closing earlier in the month you do pay more prepaid interest but you are paying for days you're going to have access to and live in the home. If you close on November 5 you own the home for the 25 days of November and you will pay the interest for those days. For some people getting in early in the month might matter but it's not as if the prepaid interest doesn't get you anything.
In the example given above the homeowner closing on November 5 would own the home for almost 2 months, most of November and all of December. The homeowner closing at the end November on the 30th would pay less prepaid interest but would also on the home essentially only for December. So you are getting something in return for the additional prepaid interest.
The's the hundreds of dollars difference actually get you ownership of the home for a longer period. Not exactly the context implied in the point above
And I've been a mortgage loan officer for 17 years. licensed in three states.
I inspected home exteriors for a regional insurance company for the better part of a year. Belligerent, defensive homeowners. Angry dogs. Shady neighborhoods. Snow, rain, heat, cold, and mud. Wrong addresses. And the worst: DOG POOP.
On the plus side, I got to see some absolutely stunning properties, met some nice cats (and a few friendly dogs), and have some great stories to tell, courtesy of some crazy homeowners.
Here is a low-calorie way to eat a potato. Bake it in the microwave until it is tender. Pour some Parkay spray or I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray on it. Sprinkle popcorn cheese seasoning and a few real bacon pieces (Hormel, for instance). Delicious.
What if two of your cards are oldest and unused for over a year (low credit balance), yet you still need to pay the membership fee? Would you cancel it since you're paying for a card you don't use knowing it can possibly hurt your score?
Exactly! A 10% markup on a vehicle wouldn't keep the building lights on. All these stated retail markups are outrageously low. Take a look at a typical vehicle lease with a "due at signing" amount of a couple thousand dollars. Nobody in there right mind is going to let their product walk out the door without covering the initial expense of the product itself. I wouldn't be surprised if the due at signing amount pays for the actual cost of the vehicle, commission and an insurance policy against loss. A dealer's invoice that they are only too happy to show you is nothing but a crafty marketing tool.
I spent almost zilch for the Season but everyone is getting at least 3 presents each, including stocking stuffers. Mainly because money was soooo tight that I had no choice. So I got creative. First off, my credit card offers gift cards as rewards so everyone got at least $50 in cards. I cashed in my other points to buy gift cards so I could wrap up gifts. So, members of the family got radar detectors, legos, t-shirts,video games and even a gold diamond necklace. Lastly, i bartered for items like comic books and silver coins. I did buy a couple things, like a scarf for my secret santa at work and a blanket for my son but all in all, didn't spend much for 8 people. Less than $100 is what i spent this year! yippee!
If I were asking... I would ask for a gift pass to my favorite car wash. I hate paying for that seemingly endless need. I might ask for a sporting goods store gift card such as Dick's Sporting Goods, Cabela's , Outdoor World, Sport's Authority or Carl's Golf Land.
Perhaps a Sketcher's Shoe store gift card. I need a new pair of walking shoes right now!
Several years ago, I was looking for a job on Craigslist. I came across an ad that I like and contacted them. He agreed to meet me at a restaurant to interview and discuss details. I needed to be sure to bring my current credit report. Yeah. No.

A new winter coat - mine was stolen last year. My husband and I now share one (I work from home, so most of the time this works).

What if you do all these things, then you eventually find it?

Perfume or a Keurig 2.0 are on my list this year.

I would like to go on vacation in 2016, so cash would be great!
I have a new laptop on my Christmas list.
A new battery for my phone
A new rose tone watch would be nice - not fussy
Everyone should do something when starting out.
it's really a house! but i know that's not going to come true so i'm going to aim for a nice pair of boots.
I use http://www.beeymo.com.
They accept tutors and native speakers from all over the world.
