I've only been in contact with my scammer via cell phone #. He's been texting me from a Long Island area code (though that doesn't mean he/she is IN Long Island or even in the U.S., but I think texting is pretty expensive from over seas).
Now I'm concerned. I'm in the middle of the over-payment scam right now, but didn't know it as such before giving out my name and address. "I'm Alex by name," never offered over the asking price, but said he'd send a check, which I could first deposit, then could contact him and "his shipping company" would pick it up. It was later that the over-payment part came into play. I've not yet received any check, and was suspicious about the reason for the over-payment (he could've called his bank and stopped payment), but now am worried that he has my name, address, and cell phone #. (This is my very first CraigsList ad and didn't know NOT to give a phone #.) someone else, here, was concerned with giving out similar info, but no one responded to her question.
Poverty in the USA is a Big Screen TV and a car parked out front.
Poverty in the 3rd world countries is not even having a good pair of shoes.
Wearing the clothes we donate to charity that are sold as rags and then shipped to those countries and then sold by street vendors.
That last part might not be perfectly true but all the pictures from third world counties shows the people is ripped and faded clothes 10 years or more out of fashion.
Anyways, the poor in the USA have it so good other poor people want to come here to enjoy the America fully belly big screen TV poor party!
I would like to know if the eye seeing glasses are okay to wear. Talk about a bargain. My biggest problem is putting things down and then not having them with me. That's why I love the tools they have. I have good screwdrivers etc. in the garage but I keep the dollar ones in the car and inside the home for quick fixes that don't require a lot of pressure, (yes they are not as durable or made with hardened steel). Also not mentioned here is the poster board. Great buy for a quickie but they won't last long because of the glue they use to adhere the paper to the foam. My favorite is clip boards but for some reason they don't usually have them.
Obviously the person writing this article is not on a fixed income or state aid and can afford to pay more money elsewhere. For for alot of people in my city shop there because its the only place they can afford. You may think the food is no good because its a dollar buf I buy almost all my food with the exception of meat from my dollar tree. They have a lot of name brand products the dollar tree and if a dollar is all you have then best place to shop
Part-time benefits at Apple include the availability of comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401K with limited matching contributions, ESOP, and now grants of restricted stock. Retail wages are generally higher than other part-time retail positions might offer, too.
I'm always amazed at how unsympathetic people can be when they have no idea what circumstances put people in the position they are in. Not everyone bought a place for more than they could afford. In fact, that's probably not even the case for most people. And, if people did make a mistake and buy for more than what they could afford, is that so awful that they deserve to be suffering now? That attitude is the same as those who think people who are victims are victims because of something THEY did, not something someone else did to them.
When the market was "bloated," the only ones who knew that, most likely, were the bankers and mortgage brokers. Not ordinary citizens who were buying real estate at the prices they thought were the best they could get. Who knew that the market would crash soon after they bought their house or condo, and therefore, that their businesses would also suffer (and, therefore, their income)? Who knew that the house/condo they bought, even though they had it inspected by a reputable inspection company, would have a major issue that needed repair soon after?
I know too many who have been in these positions and they're all hard-working people who were given bad advice. Let's let the people who are truly responsible for the enormous debt some people have incurred take action to make reparation, and let's stop blaming those who, with good intentions, unfortunately made mistakes.
I agree. There was no transparency when they tried to get 100000 of my money into annuities and I was told by a friend in small writing my upfront cost on an annuity would be 9000 dollars and 3 percent commission. People beware
I am really surprised to find CVS on this list. Their coupons don't matter much when their goods are already overpriced, and you can't use the coupons on sale items. After trying again and again to save money with their coupons and finding every time I could have gotten the items elsewhere for cheaper-- even when using the cvs coupons-- I have simply spammed the CVS emails.
Coupons mean nothing when the items are already way overpriced.
none of the natural foods stores in Hawaii (including the one I work for) carry Horizon products. We occasionally get horizon products as "free fills" from our distributed and either donate them or put them immediately on clearance.
Organic milk is typically ultra pasteurized (higher heat and/or longer temperature) rather than "normal" pasteurization that non-orgnaic undergoes. Ultra pasteurization makes milk last much longer and also makes it shelf stable (the reason you can buy those milk juice box things.) You can ultra pasteurize regular milk too and get the same thing. Also, when you ultra pasteurize milk it gives it a creamier taste.
I also worked in a natural foods store, but I also worked in the dairy industry for 4 years, and am currently an environmental scientist. And Horizon is definitely the least respected of the organic brands in my opinion. (though Annie's is getting pretty close.) Reportedly Kirkland, Simple Truth, and O organics have been reported to treat their cows better than Horizon. In my area, none of the 20 or so health food stores carry anything made by Horizon and all prefer Organic Valley. That being said, You can say anything you want to say on a website, but that doesn't mean it's not an exaggeration or that all of your farms are following proper procedures. There are plenty of non-organic farms that treat their cows better than organic farms (I've done vet work on 200+ different dairy farms...) and the issue is definitely not black and white nor can you say that all of the farms owned by one company treat their cows bad/good or are large/small.
One thing to note though is that Horizon is owned by the Dean Foods conglomerate if that says anything.

My first job was as an intern at Morgan Stanley
Aside from babysitting, I worked at a local farm stand when I was 14.
My first job was selling season subscriptions to the local symphony orchestra. I learned very quickly that telemarketing was not my calling.
My first job was working at Ponderosa steakhouse taking orders! I also made the desserts on Saturdays and Sundays! I loved it!
My first job was helping neighbors and my parents around the house and doing chores and errands for them.

I find Kroger as my best loyalty program

You can also create a family game together.
My first job was working at Wendy's. I learned to work hard and to appreciate the money that I worked so hard for.

Hi Crystal!
This is why I decided to severely downsize my personal belongings. I hate cleaning more than I love most things. Less things, less things to dust!
