As much as I love to shop at local stores, I actually prefer bigger national department stores. The layout is usually consistent, the return policies are similar, and they usually have a restroom!
I volunteer at a local senior center, teaching among other skills "computer safety". I've been watching this thread since our landlord held back on our deposit. I also used the securitydepositrefund.org website to help me get it back. I finally got it back but it took about 60 days. I did get it all back though. The landlord had a history of keeping deposits and he did not send me certified mail in the 30 day window.
I usually go to Barnes & Noble. I tend to buy magazines, usually as a substitute for actually doing something, like knitting. Only I call it "research."
I love each and every one of these foods! Even the lima/butter beans! I'm an adventurous eater, my mom loved to explore different foods, and we had to try something before we said we didn't like it. We didn't a have to eat it if we didn't like it, but we had to try.
A couple of things to think about is how our tastes can change over time, and how one variety or source of something can be different than another. And sometimes it is just how you prepare it, like your article says.
I went from loving mayo as a young child, hating it until my late teens, then loving it again.
When I grew up in NJ I loved our local raw oysters (and clams!). When I lived in VA the local oysters tasted chalky to me, great cooked but not good raw. Then I went to Tyndall AFB near Panama City, FL, and their oysters were fantastic.
My husband hated eggplant until I made roasted eggplant and tomato salad. Now we grow extra eggplant so we can have it more often! But my daughter still doesn't like it.
Sadly I am on a low sodium diet now and anchovies are out, as is most flash frozen fish due to the sodium tripolyphospate added. That and they contain so much extra water due to the tripolyphosphate that I hate to buy them, paying for water that I have to squeeze out them. :<
I don't shop much but I'm a sucker for thrift shops. I love it when I find something I need for a rock bottom price that would have otherwise ended up occupying landfill. Plus if I change my mind I don't have to discard it, I know I can donate it back to the place I bought it.
- Always have cash. Spread spare bills about your possessions so there isn't a "single point of failure"
- If you're going to carry plastic, carry two cards from two different banks. Make sure you have the non-800 number for their customer service desks. The strangest things can make a credit card company turn your card off for fraud protection. Having a spare makes life easier.
- Even if you're going to have your own global, GSM-enabled awesomephone, think about buying a cheap burner when you land and putting it in a safe place. (See "single point of failure" above)
These things may seem paranoid, but they don't cost much or take much time, and having a $20 bill, a credit card, and a cell phone when your bags are stolen can make a huge difference in dealing with the crisis.
And having mentioned theft, to echo the points above - most people are honest and friendly. Be friendly - just be cautious.
My favorite place to shop is Amazon! I shop their sales and I love prime shipping. I have purchased a large array of items. Also, their customer service is awesome!
I like to shop the most at Target. Usually I buy household items and snacks
there because they are cheaper and usually have good deals. In an enjoyable
shopping experience I look for good customer service, high quality items,
good sales, promotions and a clean environment.
this page helped me make sure that plastic bags can be recycled in an Eco-friendly way

I like to shop wherever I can use a gift card.
Thrift stores!
My wife and I were fairly equal in income. I paid the mortgage, she paid the rest except food which we split. Worked out pretty good.

I like to shop at Target in person because there is something for every member of the family. Online Amazon is my favorite store.
I always shop on Amazon, it's so easy to find just about anything I need, and I can use the app on my phone to shop no matter where I am!

For the shopping experience, I've started to enjoy Costco...the samples, the randomness, it's just fun, and there is usually a good deal.
By far, my favorite place to shop is Amazon. Great prices, selection, and fast shipping (especially if you have Prime).
I like to shop on Amazon. I buy everything there
I like to shop most at library book sales. I love books and the prices are bargain basement.
