Yessss! I love baking and having dessert...but I also live alone. Entire cake + Meg = not a good idea. I'm totally into these, especially the strawberry shortcake idea.
Lately I've been keeping a loaf of a sliced quick bread in my freezer, pumpkin or chocolate-chip banana. When I have a sweet craving, I just pop a slice in the toaster.
Yes! Workaway.info is simply one of the best! The website, is clear, open, and engaging, with lots of pics and reviews, and the experience is just amazing. The families are so sweet and thoughtful.
make the whole batch of chocolate chip cookie dough, roll it into balls, freeze on a cookie sheet, once frozen dump them into a plastic bag. when you want a homemade cookie or two, pull as many as you want out of the freezer and bake for just a bit longer than usual.
I have to recommend Banana Soft-Serve "Ice Cream". Blend frozen banana slices with a splash of milk in a blender until smooth. If you want, add additional favors with powdered peanut butter or cocoa powder. Tastes amazing and not bad for you!
There are many things that I could and have lived without. That being said, I don't want my budget to be a prison. I want to allow myself things I enjoy because even though it is intelligent to plan for your future, there is no guarantee that the future you plan for will be there. Balance is something I've learned. Enjoy a little today and save a little for tomorrow.
I could live without our restaurant and fast food budgets (which have gotten significantly smaller lately). We could also live without our Netflix streaming and Gamefly rentals.
Honestly, I can live without cable tv. I don't really watch that much tv anymore, with work and raising a toddler. Any show that I read up on that catches my interest I can always catch it online.
I never pay to leave my house. Just kidding! I would rethink your title next time. No offense. At any rate, people need to visit parks! This world isn't going to be this beautiful for much longer at the rate we are destroying our environment. There are so many nice free places that not enough people take advantage of!!!
All I wanted to do was BF my son. I didn't care how many hours a day or how much I had to nurse. It was almost constant and I had my mother to help rock him to sleep after an hour of nursing. I would sleep for about 45 mins- then he would need to nurse again. However- why did I NEVER become engorged? I NEVER produced more than 3 ozs ever-why did my baby fail to gain weight? Why could a lactation consultant not figure out what was going on?? So I HAD to switch to formula- my son gained 1 pound in 4 days! He was starving! I was devastated but my baby was healthy. NO ONE could figure it out- I was BF and I watched my aunts and cousins nurse all their babies.
Well- about a week after switching my baby to this life-saving formula- I delivered a second placenta. NO ONE knew it was there at all and bc it was never detected I failed to get a full amount of the hormone Prolactin to produce the breast milk.
So before you judge anyone for using formula- remember not everyone goes to formula willingly and with a smile. Some of us spend hours crying and feeling like we are depriving our child of the absolute best. It's hard enough being a new mom but try adding the guilt of not knowing why you cannot feed your baby.
When you have been there- then you can judge. I am so thankful that you had such a wonderful experience- you should be thankful too and leave it at that. It is hard enough to figure this formula stuff out without seeing your asinine comments.
I plant my garlic in the fall. It overwinters and sprouts in the spring ready to be harvested in the summer (usually around July). Once you harvest a plant, you can separate one clove from the bulb and plant it in September and repeat the cycle every year.
Old photos are neat for future generations to see family resemblence and understand history better. Best to make sure they are clearly identified now while it's still possible and then either put in archival photo books or scan.
Can I use the boiling water, baking soda, and aluminum foil on a silver plated tea service?

I could probably live without my organic chocolate bars. I really don't need them anyway.
Junk food. I can live without junk food.

I just cut cable and I miss it! I could give up my summer monthly pedicures or my daily soda but a girl has got to have some fun!
I liked Wise Bread on FB.

I could probably do away with the land line phone. I think that's about the only thing that wouldn't bother me.

I've been getting weekly massages, which aren't cheap. Could I live without them? Yes. Do I want to live without them? No.
