As a graduate student, I only eat out approximately once a wee, usually only for convenience. Also, for me, eating on campus also constitutes as eating out. To stay frugal and fit, I make my lunches and dinners.
I had read that garlic is good for arthritis and general pain so I tried it and can attest it works better than over the counter drugs like Ibuprofen and Tylenol. I also felt a surge of engergy after taking a large clove. The way I take it is to grind a clove or two in a smail blender and they brush the small pieces out with a small brush into a small glass. I then add a little orange juice and drink it. Works great and I am a firm believer in it's healing benefits.
Just have to comment on this. I work for a startup, launching in New York, called Swifto, that is another way to "seriously pad your pockets". But the beauty of it is that it identifies jobs that are good for you and sends them to you. As long as you can do them in a hurry (we're "Swift"-o, after all), you can make some serious dough.
We've just launched our beta, so we are also looking for "Super Users" that will be our go-to folks for jobs, and will even make a little bonus. Just tell us you're interested, and we'll talk to you about it.
We typically get a pizza once a month and we eat out someplace special a few times a year for various birthdays. My son's last birthday, he requested Chick-fil-A - I was happy to accommodate.
Pancakes are your budgets best friends!! We do that too. I'm printing this! I do better if I pay in csh at the grocery store. I try to leave the kids home so they don't throw any curve balls.
Great article! One thing I would like to add that has been hard for me, but always works if I stick to it, is to make a monthly menu. By looking at what you already have and only buying what you need you can get to that use 100% of what you buy.
I an hoping that this Winter is not as cold as the previous two Winters in the UK. Gas and electricity prices keep rising. I can't turn our thermostat down any more and I'm already wearing double trousers and two fleeces.
Tell it what you are paying and what you are watching and it will analyze hundreds of configurations to figure out which (if any) options can save you money. Then it gives you a step-by-step personalized plan to make the switch.
We live in Orlando, Florida. We do it about once a quarter. We would never do anything else. We have the greenest lawn in the neighborhood, even through the hottest months while everyone else's lawn is burning up... And it definitely keeps the pesky bugs away... It's the bomb!
I was not aware there was caulk you could easily remove in the spring. I plan to use that as we have some very drafty windows as our house was built circa 1960. Thanks for the tips!
I agree, but I did want to mention... I'm not sure exactly how much square footage I would be pleased with but I could make due with a smaller home with ONE living room, but a large kitchen! I believe a decent kitchen matters with my lifestyle. Storage beyond a couple of closets and a pantry is BAD! The more storage space given, the more I will want to just throw in there. I want enough space to keep myself clutter free and make it feel like a real, comfy home. =)
Hello, I have been trying and trying to make your bread as it looks so tasty in your picture and have not had success. It will NOT rise :( It tastes great, texture is great but I crave some raised bread. The only thing I can think of that could be causing this is I have to use a different flour blend as the flours you have listed are not all available in New Zealand. My flour blend consists of brown rice flour, potato starch, and tapioca flour. Would this be my problem?? Please help as my family is really wanting some regular bread and we are tired of eating tiny brick loaves :(
I do live in the middle of Montana. You're right. No free mainstream movies. Lame! However, we get loads of free independent movies. It's kinda hit or miss, but every once in a while there's a gem that the rest of the world will probably never see because, well, let's face it, it's still an independent film.
Hello Mr. Phillip brewer, I thought this guide was great, and am very anxious to begin making my very own moonshine! Although, I have heard that there may be dangers of methanol poisoning. I would like to know if this is true, and if so, how to prevent it. Thanks- Bob
Absolutely. Why not eliminate the middle-man? I don't know why people buy insurance for so many different things that really are within the realm of affordability should an event happen. Better to just maintain your own pot of money that is an insurance policy on anything and everything, whether it's a pet, a leak in the roof, or whatever.
I can understand insurance for health, cars, and other big items, but I would never get insurance for pets.
What happened to the good old just sneaking into movies...used to be so easy. Security in everything has become so strict...but for good reason I guess
Both my parents and my aunt had skunk problems this year too. My mom hired someone to trap the skunk, and she said he baited the trap with sardines...apparently skunks only dislike some strong smells. (Then again, I love sardines, so I can't say that I wouldn't walk into a trap baited with them either.)

We eat out a lot, whether it's just a snack or a meal, nearly everyday.

Spreadsheets, web research, shopping - that's a lot of work. There should be an app for that...oh wait, there is!

Easy to toss together: chocolate chips, raisins, and peanuts. The raisins add nice, chewy texture!
Toothpaste did brilliant on the faint scratches! But not so much on the deep, but anyhow Thanks! :D

I eat out almost every work day for lunch(gotta change that) and every Sunday with my family after church.
