Recently, I was feeling just plain frustrated with my office supply situation. Since we are still unpacking from our move across the country as well as our recent extended backpacking trip, and moving out the stuff from the property we purchased, things are a bit scattered, to say the least. We are also in much less space than we had in Arizona. One of the concessions we made to be debt free . . . we’ll expand later.

There's a company in my area that makes silk flower brooches that are sold at Nordstrom for $60 a pop. I occasionally see these silk flower brooches at Nordstrom and feel like, well, screaming. Why? Because I know that each brooch costs less than $5 to make.

You can end up costing yourself more in the long run by doing it yourself. So, I scoured the web looking for the obvious and not-so-obvious mistakes DIY addicts make and compiled this list.
PLUS, as a special treat for you all, I’ve included a video at the end of home improvement mishaps, or DIY inaction in action. Better not watch it if you don’t like seeing folks screw up. Anyway, be a safe DIYer and enjoy the smell of sawdust in the morning.
