When it comes to traveling through Europe, there's a lot to be said for taking the train. With just a little planning, you can see five or six countries in just a week — and for a price that doesn't break the bank. And if you are interested in extended travel — or live the digital nomad lifestyle — you can travel around the whole of Europe for a fraction of the cost of plane tickets or car rentals. These tips can get you started in the right direction to do just that.

My recent post on fab finds at Family Dollar got me thinking. What other stores do I enjoy bargain shopping at, and what are some of my favorite deals from each? One chain that came to mind is a European one I used CONSTANTLY when we lived in Italy. I’m talking about Penny Market.

I am a believer in the idea that wealth can stunt personal creativity. When you can buy it all, what’s the need to invent anything? When I was a kid my mother forbade me from playing with makeup. air plane

Want to see Europe but short on cash? Not sure you can ever afford it?

A small, not well-known German airline, LTU, is having a a huge sale on flights from the US to Germany. They fly from JFK, LAX, Las Vegas, Miami, and more.

If you leave before May 31, the cost is between $318 and $748 roundtrip (depending on your starting destination). If you want to travel this summer, it will be a little more, but still not as much as some of the major airlines. $548-$1048 for departures through September 9, 2007. A hint on fare, for the west coasters: if you can get to Vegas, it's a lot cheaper!

Click here to book, and enjoy Europe this summer!
