Could you save money by subscribing to an addictive game?

During the Christmas break my husband and I went to dinner with some of his friends from high school. One couple we spoke with told us that they are trying to save money for a down payment on a home and one thing they did was that they canceled their subscription to a massively multiplayer online role playing game called World of Warcraft. My husband then responded that he actually saved money when he was playing World of Warcraft, and here are the reasons why.

XBox 360 - Don't buy one until 2008.

I know several people with an XBox 360. Six in fact. Three of those six have had no end of problems, and to me a 50% chance of buying a crappy product is just not good enough. But that's just my experience, surely the overall market would be a little better, right?

Hacking your way to a better life

I love how the concept of hacking has changed so much over the past few years. I'm particularly taken with Hack Zine, a site the collects some of the best hacks on the web. Like Lifehacker, Hack Zine seeks out ways to make life easier, cheaper, and generally more fun.
