It seems the retail giants are serious in their quest to get hold of your economic stimulus check. One of the biggest, Sears, is offering to multiply your check if you spend it there. And others are following suit.

Wow. I guess pigs may just fly after all. Because, believe it or not, the goverment is actually paying out the economic stimulus checks ahead of schedule. And that means you could get your cold, hard cash as early as Monday, depending on your SSN.

If you are an American Express member, a promotion is currently going on called Museum or Movie. The deal is that if you make a certain number of purchases at participating merchants during 4/1/2008 and 5/31/2008 you can redeem the receipts for four complimentary movie tickets or museum tickets. As you’re no doubt aware, President Bush has created an economic stimulus package in the hopes of stalling the impending recession (or if you believe some, depression) that’s on the horizon.
