Malcolm Gladwell's most recent book is a fascinating look into the stories of people who seem at first glance to be Outliers, those who rose to the top through an extraordinary talent, vision, and intelligence. But Gladwell's argument is that ambition and talent alone is not what made the Bill Gates of the world. These Outliers may not be so by their own right, but by a convergence of events entirely out of their control.

So, what do you think of that? Like most people out there with common sense, myself included I hope, there's no question that’s a very silly name for an article. It almost begs for failure. So why then did Robert Lane name his son Winner? Doesn’t it seem like an impossible name to live up to?
