1- THE PAYPAL SCAM. They'll send you money through your paypal account to buy items from you like a cell phone or even a car they ask you to leave the car some where with the key in once the pay you through PayPal. . Then claim they never received the item. PayPal will take the money from and give it to the scammer. Usually this scams come from Russia and Nigeria. Never ship your item or except PayPal payment. There is new one I'm investigating right now. I guy texted me offering me to send me a 3 new iPhone 6 and pay him once I receive the phones sounds too good to be true. He is asking for my address. BEWARE.
Great article about alternative registries, Meg. A cash registry sounds good to me. @simone, thanks for sharing about envelope registry. Will definitely check that out.
My cat food is almost twice as much on Amazon as I can pick it up at the grocery store! Charmin toilet paper is also much more expensive than I get it for at Sam's Club. I just don't see the savings here even with Amazon Prime being used for the free shipping. Is this an Amazon sponsored article?
In order for it to be cost effective, you'd need to order enough items to get free shipping. I'd never pay shipping on a $4 bag of cat litter when I can get it for that price at Big Lots or sometimes Walmart. Would be worth it if you could order all the above items at one time...but only if you need them.
If you see the very friendly coupon sites like Retailmenot.com and CouponerStore.com simply show on the first look if that offer contains code or is just a deal. By trusting on such sites we can't get hurt from empty code dilemma.
I think in a retail or a commercial environment i.e. in a store, FREE will still work. If that fridge was in a store with a 'free' label, it will probably have gone because people happen to be in the store looking for a fridge.
Buying a local sim card while on holidays is the best way to save money on calls and data. In case that you can not obtain a local sim, then the next best thing is to use a VOIP provider to make calls home.
I almost always have some kind of snack food in my monthly delivery, such as Larabars, granola bars, or nuts. They are usually about half of what I'd pay at my local grocery store. I've never thought to buy cooking oil through Amazon!
The Lowe's coupons are NOT accepted when a customer buys appliances at Home Depot. They typically have deals that are already discounted beyond the 10% and they can't stack coupons. The system actually refuses to let them add multiple discounts, as it is considered "Double Dipping".
The customer service on Amazon is second to none. Therefore, I tend to shop there more and more. I still check prices, because, like some have mentioned, they change often. BUT, if it's not much different I stick with Amazon. They do not tolerate their vendors putting the screws to the customer.
A great article that hopefully acts as an eyeopener for millennials. The fact that a higher percentage have student debt that is growing and the low financial literacy is a dangerous combination. Debt seems to be (and almost is with rising post-secondary education costs) unavoidable yet we learn very minimal financial education and that's why there are many successful individuals that have a hard time managing their finances.
Reaching financial freedom, where passive income exceeds expenses isn't rocket science. It's actually quite simple. We simply need to learn to earn, plan, and invest. Regardless of how much each of us make, if we can control our expenditures, and increase the amount of money we stash away even with the high amounts of debt, we can all achieve financial freedom much earlier than we might think. It's a waste because these millennials have their whole lives ahead of them and if only they planned and started investing at this early stage, they wouldn't have too much to worry about in terms of finances down the road.
Amazon are very good at what they do, and certainly competitive, but they have a very poor ethical record, especially in terms of workers' rights and tax avoidance. If you're interested, search on 'Amazon Boycott'.
DON'T ORDER PET FOOD! We bought a large bag of our regular brand of premium cat food and were very excited to be able to obtain it from Amazon. But immediately after starting our two boys on this bag they became extremely sick. An expensive trip to the vet confirmed the problem was the new food bag. We will never trust Amazon again for cat food but will probably still buy litter there. Not sure what happened to the food but it's just not worth the risk of having two very sick cats anytime in the future.
About best air purifier, they must be long durable most important. Also they must be up to date in technology so that they can provide better results. Also easy portable and should occupy little space.
I have a 5/5 arm at 2.75 with 2% cap for each change and maximum 6% for life of loan. Original loan was 4.875. Paid than loan such that it had LTV less than 80% so no PMI. It would take at least 10 years before my interest is same of more than current. By paying the difference, can get loan to about 30 LTV. At that price, the interest rate does not matter much.

I get good ol number ten: a 40-pound bag of cat litter for just over $15, shipped to my front door. And it's just as good as any litter I've ever bought from a brick-and-mortar store.

STOP TRYING TO MAKE FETCH HAPPEN. IT ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.

I definitely recommend Amazon for trading in your books for cash.

Great collection of articles - especially the 23 reasons why being cheap is bad article.

Sardines too!
Have you read about the horrible working conditions at Amazon shipping centers?

I like the bike ride and park ideas. Try putting those together and you'd have the perfect weekend!

Haha, I agree with you on "amazeballs"! I never could get down with that one. But I'll never give up YOLO! ;)
I really wish people would stop saying "I'm anal (retentive)" when referring to being neat and organized. It makes me cringe every time...
