I'm terrible about unplugging my cell phone charger when I'm not using it. I'll glance at it and feel guilty, too! :-/ I need to be more aware of the little things that can add up to a whole lot.
Sorry, but there is NO way Dunks, Folgers, or any other coffee brand I've tried that stacks up to Starbucks. The ones you mentioned taste like dirty dishwater. I'll cheap out on LOTS of things, but coffee will never be one of them! :) I do like the possibility of Shark over another Dyson, though....
Not really. I did as a kid but it's not my favorite holiday. We don't have kids and are really healthy eaters (for health reasons mostly) so even the candy thing doesn't hold much appeal. But kudos to all the kids out there in their trick-or-treating and hopefully we'll figure out something fun to do when our kiddos arrive! ;)
I couldn't agree more! I shopped around and found themilesbroker.com to have paid more than any company and actually pays BEFORE transferring the points over.
We refresh stale French bread by spraying uncut loaf with water, so it's almost dripping, then put in a hot oven for 3-5 minutes. Center is soft, outside is crusty.
That is really awesome. I have a question though, what do you do in your spare time? I would think that 100 items would be most of what you need to live daily-clothes, toothbrush, dishes, etc. Do you have room for any hobbies in that 100 items?

what are the California laws about trading a place to stay for services? Isn't there a payment requirement of minimum wage and then you give that (back) to the provider of room?
Oh yes, we love taking the kids trick or treating and carving pumpkins! Have to make those pumpkin seeds! YUM
Also so fun going to the pumpkin patch and picking out a pumpkin!
Well, I guess I'm the killjoy here--I've never liked Halloween. I was relieved when I was NOT a little kid anymore and wasn't expected to get dressed up in a stupid costume and have my mom take pictures and then and go around begging for candy. Yecch.
In addition to showering less, I began making my own deodorant out of coconut oil, baking soda, and arrowroot powder. I keep mine in the fridge. It feels great, is non toxic to the body, and you don't get that day after deodorant smell. I also use coconut oil to cleanse my face twice daily which is antibacterial so I never breakout. I'm 48 and my skin and hair look great with the combination of only a couple of showers a week or less and the change in products.
Not sure if it is at all stadiums, but at Camden Yards (Baltimore Orioles) You can get a free "small" soda, (actually pretty big, my guess is 20oz, but stopping at the Designated Drivers booth. Just have to get a paper bracelet that says you are not drinking booze and BOOM, free soda. Same soda costs over $4 at the stand
I’m self-employed and still 30 years away, but I’m as conservative as can be with my retirement savings.. I don't wanna take any risks in losing my future on a beach in Cabo.
Because I don't trust the stock market, I max out my 401k and IRA.
I got CD's from my Chase bank account earning over 2%.
Life insurance also can be a good investment for retirement. I got a good cheap policy from Life Ant ($20/month).

We celebrate by having Hallejuah night, we invite friends & family over. We crank up the music & celebrate with delish foods, games, prizes, fellowship & making fun memories.

For those looking to buy, or especially build, a house, I highly recommend reading "The Not So Big House" By Sarah Susanka (see http://goo.gl/Cun1NZ).

The world is coming to an end!

Love Halloween. Decorating this weekend.
Yes, we celebrate Halloween. We like to go trick-or-treating with our children and hand out candy to trick or treaters who come to our house.

Halloween is usually pizza, candy, and horror movie night for my family. That's how we celebrate.
