Autumn is my favorite season. Yesterday was my birthday and I've always loved this time of year (not because of getting older, but just because of the feel of October). I love the changing leaves, dressing the kids up for Halloween, and spending time with family during Thanksgiving. There is no better time of year, in my opinion. Christmas comes a distant 2nd for me behind Thanksgiving. Christmas is more about the commercial aspect while Thanksgiving is more about family, which I love.
If you want a specific breed, contact your local rescue group who handles that particular breed. Then you are getting a dog who is matched to you and your needs, and not just the dog the breeder hands you.
The adoption fee is far less than buying from a breeder and you don't perpetuate the bad practices of most dog breeders. Typically your dog from a rescue group will already be spayed/neutered, be up to date on shots, and the rescue group will know the dog well and be able to give you lots of info about his/her personality.
If you go to a breeder, be very careful. If the person selling you a dog doesn't ask you a lot of questions about you and your lifestyle, and make you sign a contract, if the only info they want is your credit card number, then run the other way! They are only in it for money.
I have always enjoyed the fall. I am from the northeast, so the fall foliage is gorgeous. A nice fall hike in the Adirondacks was always enjoyable as a child. Even better is apple picking! Now that I am an adult I make sure to go every season, pick a tons of apples to eat and make pies with, get a cider doughnut and enjoy a local orchard. It's also a great time for walking the dog! Not too warm, not too cold and still sunny outside.
When I retired, I kept only 4 dressy jackets to wear to church or to events in the fall/winter. Each can be worn with black slacks. Scarves and jewelry can be interchanged with each. For summer I have 3 dressy tops; again each can be worn with tan slacks.
I have 1 pair of dressy sandals, 1 pair of black dress shoes, 2 pairs of walking shoes, 2 pair of mules, and 2 pair of house shoes. That's it.
For every day, I wear jeans. I have a few nice sweaters (3), 2 sweatshirts, a few tees. I have 2 sleeping sets, 1 robe, and wool socks for winter.
I have a trench coat with a zip in lining, a jacket for walking in the winter, 1 fake fur jacket I love, and a jacket for fall/spring.
That's about it. When I buy an item, I get rid of another.
You can bet that anything the USDA puts down or attacks is a sure thing for us consumers. The USDA doesn't want good things for us because it's a loss of money for them. I'll put my money on Horizon.
These are excellent money saving resources. I've been a regular reader of money talks news and it never fails of giving readers relevant information about effective money management.
My bread stayed pretty flat and has a strange taste. I used bobs red mill instead of making my own all purpose flour. Could this be why? It also had a very light frothy texture after rising. Thanks!
Small, very mixed breed dogs, with short hair, that are spayed or neutered, and are adopted from a shelter are the least expensive dogs to own. Always give them their heartworm and flea/parasite medicine and feed them the appropriately amount of healthy food for their weight. Most of all love them!
On what planet do you make a list like this and not include "adopt a mixed-breed dog from your local shelter" on the list. Lord. (The answer is "a planet with websites I don't intend on continuing to read.")
So glad I researched this NetSpend company and found your article. I am expecting my financial aid refund to show up this month- what if I had activated this card thinking that was it? Because I have heard of my school putting funds on cards, but not of my school also issuing funds on prepaid debit cards. Could have ended badly... so glad it didn't.. I just now saw the e-mail from NetSpend saying my card is on its way in a plain white envelope. I also thought someone used my information to get a debit card.. ugh.. thanks again!
Butchering an animal is no big deal, cut along the muscle groups and you can easily cut it up into manageable chunks. A search on YouTube can also assist in learning the process. I have three knives, a saw and an axe, the result? Meat butchered the way I like it :)
I guess it's down to hunting as a sport or a means to put meat on the table. Personally I prefer to wait for the food to come to me so a stand and feed out to encourage it to come to me. The whole idea is to expend as little energy as possible to get your food.
From time to time I will stalk my prey, but I have no problem with sitting and waiting for it to come to me :)
Enjoying the colors of the leaves falling, pumpkin picking, and hot cider <3
I LOVE Thanksgiving! I feel like the it's the perfect holiday that always reminds me of how grateful I should be for everything in my life.
The food. Turkey, apple pie, pumpkin pie. Fall is great. We don't have any traditions aside from eating seasonal food.

Sure do!
Yes, I do! It's fun!
I do. .95% interest!
Yes I do. I like dressing up and having pumpkins while I give away candy.
Notice how watching TV or Playing video games was not on the list.

Our little one dresses up, but we don't go for the scary aspects of Halloween.

Many vegetarians don't eat eggs. Before making a recipe with egg, check with your 'veggie' friend to be sure they eat eggs or even eat milk products.
Agreed! Hunting for food is totally different to hunting for sport. Fill your larder for minimal expenditure.

I hate broadcasters who preface a question with "What a good (or great) question..." considering interviewees or callers have already been screened
Few questions are unique
