Great addition! My twins were born when I was 35 and yes, after medical assistance, so I've heard this question many times (as well as all the awkward follow-up questions that parents of multiples get peppered with!). This would make an excellent #21 on this list.
On cabbage: we have recently discovered how wonderful fried cabbage is with a heaping helping of leftover cooked brown rice. Just cook the cabbage thoroughly with evoo, salt, and a little pat of butter if you dare, add cold rice, warm through. Drool!
Working from home is a tough job. I am not a work at home dad, I am more like a work at home son. So when I am working on my laptop everyone knows that I am working and they co-operate with me. But people who are outside like friends/neighbor/relatives, they don't understand the work at home thing so they will just come over and interrupt. But that's the small price to pay for this freedom lifestyle. I am saving an average 4 hours everyday of commuting time and I get breaks whenever I want.
I agree.
IMO the Wired Plastic VISA, look great, and always sustain reasonable fee(s)for per upload, still has not risen,at all. i love it. the yes benefit(s)quite enticing is true.and that is a reason why i always shall utilize when warranted, wired plastic.i know it has some bemoaning over it,not me, and i've been with wired for years.
I LOVE-VISA WIRED PLASTIC DEBIT.I.E. if i cancel a purchase etc.awaiting my store refund within usually 1 to 2 days they say it will arrive on my VISA debit card and it usually is on there same/next day! I check on net it appear on mi card so fast!
I love that. no problem there at all.(as other cards i.e. NET SPEND is the worst debit where, you have to literally mail in info, just to sign up at times, yet is not even a real credit card, stupid imo. Wired circumvent my mailing address, and everything so fast,no big deal to them,as far as that goes.
...
I used to love more the WESTERN UNION MONEY WISE DEBIT, no more. (they used to allow pymt.to be added up to ten times a day! IF your expectig wired pymt.from w.u.

adios.
I think I can agree fully with all of these, EXCEPT #16.
Granted, I've never tackled Latin myself, but for anyone interested in linguistics or classics, I cannot believe that it would be a waste of time.
I noticed they did not mention the median income in Waco. Waco is a very nice place if you have a marketable degree or skill such as HVAC, welding or CDL. There are tons of other jobs there as well, but they all pay around $8.00 an hour or about 16,000 a year net income. That's what half the population there makes. I lived in Waco half my life. I used to love it there, but being away has opened my eyes to the opportunities in other places. I left a year and a half ago, and am glad to be gone.
I TEACH Latin, and I really, really resent this article. Latin improves students' thinking skills and helps them to easily make connections with all the other Romance languages. I never studied a word of Italian but I understand a fair amount of it when I read it or even hear it, because I am proficient in Latin. And it definitely expands people's English vocabulary. Seriously, I usually like the articles on here, but I am angry enough right now to never read one again. You are contributing to the downfall of classical studies and it doesn't need any help because so many people like you have that attitude.
My partner and I talk about our days while we fix supper. Afterward we sometimes take a walk and sometimes sit in adjoining armchairs and read, just like the old folks in the movie "Up."
In the summer we do a bit of gardening (pull a weed here, sample a sugar snap pea there).
Yep, we're dull. But happy.
So many people fall victim to telling off their boss once they quit. Its just so foolish because you are likely to need their help in the form of a reference, or maybe even a change in plans and a need for your old job. Even if you were unhappy with your boss, its always best to be professional.
Have you even studied Latin? Because just from this statement, it sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about:
"It's a dead language."
Perhaps dead in the sense that it is no longer widely spoken, but trust me it's living in countless languages today. Studying Latin will give you the tools you need to better understand the grammar, vocab, and syntax of all Romance languages.
"Yes, the classics have value and yes and it will help you on your SATs, and no, it's still not worth it. Learn a language that lets you interact with living human beings instead."
Coming from someone who scored in the 96th percentile on the GRE and graduated with a MA at the age of 22 and is now putting my writing skills to good use in a successful career, I'm living proof that studying Latin is worth it. One former tutoring student of mine was an excellent Latin scholar and he received a perfect SAT score. Now Ivy League schools are fighting over him. So excuse me if I think that academic excellence is "worth it."
As for the social interaction argument, working closely with my fellow classical studies scholars was a great way for me to make friends. We formed study groups, hosted potlucks, and debated the merits of movies like 300 and Gladiator. Many studied abroad for politics or archaeology, and continued to make long-lasting bonds with others.
The rest of your points make sense, but this one doesn't deserve to be on your list. Learning Latin was one of the best things I did in college, and I don't regret it one bit.
I have US bank secured debit card and I agree with you about them "holding your deposit." However, what you failed to mention is you DID NOT read the fine print. According to US BANK, they will hold your money for a few days until the decision is made. If you are approved, they will take money, if not then they will bring it back to you. YOU SHOULD HAVE READ EVERYTHING IN THE FINE PRINT AND YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE APPLIED FOR ANOTHER CARD AFTER IF UNLESS IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL EXTRA CASH LAYING AROUND , NOT BEING HELD IN THE BANK.
I like to cook a (fairly) easy dinner, pour a glass of Merlot and talk with my hubby about the day. Nothing beats my stress like being thankful for my family and home at the end of the day!
given a choice, i would happily opt for wallaby over coin. Here are my reasons;
coin is just a card stasher, wallaby is intelligent. it has a brain of its own to determine the best rewards credit card to use
coin is an electronic device, with it comes its own downsides, charging, not big enough display etc. wallaby is just another card
coin is useless if you have only two or three cards. the claim of loading hundereds of cards into it is a joke considering a screen so small with no way to index or scroll like in a iphone contacts. wallaby is a good fit as long as you collect rewards on a card.
coin's acceptance by retail shop is a huge question, but wallaby is just another card.
but wallaby is not something you can just order and buy, so verdict:coin. :)

Banana peels also cure poison ivy. I've found their application more effective than calamine lotion for stopping the itch and drying up the rash.
I like to read out on the porch! This way I feel like I'm on vacation!
We have a lawn care company care for our lawn... May we supplement with this mixture without causing damage to the grass?

As to living languages- who said it's either/or?

Just bought a couple of Michelin Pilot Sports for my Porsche. The code indicates they are over two years old. Tire Rack says this is not a problem.

Definitely a book. When I have absolutely no energy, a movie.

Bubble bath + comedy podcast.
