I still prefer printed books but am slowly getting used to reading ebooks. I'm an author and currently have books published in both formats. I have an use a Kindle, but continue to purchase paperbacks as often as I can. I'm sure I'll gravitate more and more to reading ebooks. I just finished Gone With the Wind in paperback and it must weigh five pounds, so the ebook version would have been much easier to handle.
Also, eating a good breakfast that sustains you, etc. There's a completely different school of thought (that I've personally been following for 3 years now and loving) that goes against this grain. It's called Intermittent Fasting. http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2013/08/06/a-beginners-guide-to-intermit...
regarding the tampering of machines for ATM pins, it's required by law nowadays to have the processing company "inject" the encryption into the card reader, therefore only they know the encryption algorithm. furthermore, the hardware is made in a way that tampering with them physically will cause the encryption to be erased and the store won't be able to process debit card transactions on that machine until they ship it back to the processor to get re-encrypted. even if the store drops the card reader hard enough it will get erased.
I called Bank of America and they lowered my APR from 20.99% to 16.99% and told me to call back after 6 months for further lower rate. Its good that i will be paying 4% less than before. Great :)
I wish I could get my wife to clean as she cooks. She tends to clean after the mess gets so bad that there are lots of dried spots on the counters or stove top. I always clean the kitchen counters before I cook as well as during and afterward. I hate setting something on the counter and having it stick because there was a sticky spot from my wife's cooking or food prep. Don't get me started on how long she'll leave grease spatter on the stove top and surrounding areas. I am usually always the one to clean that up because I don't want to put something down on drying grease. I have mentioned to her how troubling all these non-clean things are to me, and she cleans better for a few days, but she falls into the old habits soon after.
i refuse to read any e-book on any tablet. i want paper in my hands. i want to feel the page. i refuse to give in to technology on this point. i already gave up landlines, cassettes, and LPs....i just need a physical something.
this list does capture most things we need to get rid of, except all the stupid chotchkes we bought on vacation when it seemed like we needed another souvenier to wind up in the basement. I would add that for gently used linens, comforters, sheets the local womens shelter will really appreciate them, as well as any cosmetic and shampoo, lotion, samples you get as bonus with purchase. You need to call the local social services or hospital to drop off as they will not usually give the address to protect the women and children.
We have a $3 white noise machine via anapp on our iPod. I think its called Sleep Pillow, and it's been a great boon since our house carries sound all too well.
Also, I use trazadone because I'm a light sleeper and it helps me stay asleep. It's not habit forming like most sleep aids. But for those who prefer the non-prescription route, I've heard good things about melatonin supplements.
You're correct about everything except for one thing. If you buy your ring from a wholesale jeweler, your retail appraisal can be as much as double what you paid for it. This is the case for me. I'd rather have the ring insured at the wholesale replacement value because that's what it would cost me to replace it from my wholesale jeweler if something were to happen. Also your policy is much cheaper in this case since you don't have to insure it at the bloated retail appraisal price.
I prefer printed books, but I've learned to love my Kindle, too. It's fun to get a free book each month from my Prime subscription, plus a free loaner book every month & lots of free & cheap books every Friday. I'm kinda hooked!
Very useful information, thank you for sharing. Lost my wallet for the first time in my life last night, and I'm 51 years old! Followed your advice "to the letter" and am now feeling a slight sense of calm. You just made my crappy day a little more tolerable..
I still prefer good old printed books! :) I actually (*gasp*) still do not have a Kindle/Fire/iPad/etc. I check books out at the library and if I can't get them there, I'll buy from Goodwill (& donate it right back if I don't ADORE it) or eBay. :)
They are still considered a single-family dwelling even if the owner doesn't occupy any of the units, at least in Saskatchewan. I agree with you about suites though, basement suites are very popular here and you can get a lot more in rent when renting out 2 suites (a main floor and a basement) than a house as a whole. Obviously you're axing a portion of your potential market with that, as families typically will want an entire house, but there's plenty of students and single, working individuals to draw from. As a Realtor, that's the route I recommend for most beginning real estate investors.
I'm a HUGE soccer fan, and living in the U.S., that can be very difficult. So, even though I've been a Major League Soccer fan since the league's inception back in 1996, I hardly miss a D.C. United home game. This can get expensive, so I joined one of the supporters clubs. Since the club I'm a part of has thousands of members, we get discounted tickets. But lately, I've started to volunteer for the club. I still get to go to the matches and some games I work for sometimes less than an hour, and then I'm free to watch the game. Also, with the volunteering, I have access to the locker rooms and know everything behind the scenes.
E-books! I love having a whole library available while I travel or commute, and my Kindle (older model) only needs to be charged every few weeks, so battery is no issue. I fill it with ebooks from the public library!
I don't have a preference. If a book that I want to read is available in ebook format through my library then I'll download it to my iPad. If it's not available as an ebook then I'll check out the printed book.
I really want to open my own small business. I like to sell clothes, fashion accessories and foot wears. Thanks for these great tips, I should try it.
I prefer books. Nothing beats the feel of turning pages on a good book to find out what happens next.
You can also use one of the new Bluetooth wallet finders like wallet trackr (www.wallettrackr.com) to not lose your next one

You guys might find that working in The Pomodoro Technique in the AM is helpful, too: http://pomodorotechnique.com/

P.S. Are your captchas for real, Wisebread?
I prefer hard copy books, but I do buy ebooks if they are significantly cheaper.

i prefer actual books but i admit that e-books are definitely more convenient

Suggestion for no. 7:
Instead of using alcohol, use hydrogen peroxide. The lemon and hydrogen peroxide will eliminate stains as well as odors.
When you walk into clinics or hospitals you never smell bleach or alcohol because they use hydrogen peroxide in their cleaners/disinfectants.
So many people die early.
They would love to celebrate another year older, but can't as they're gone.
Don't be so miserable - celebrate every birthday.

I strongly prefer printed books, though I have and use a base-model Kindle and check books out from the library on my iPad.
