I was hooked on sodas as much as just about anyone, but having a root canal cured my soda addiction real fast. I've actually felt a lot more energetic since doing so, and the withdrawal symptoms weren't as bad as I feared. Compared to the pain of a throbbing toothache followed by breaking off the corner of a molar and the subsequent root canal and crown procedures, soda withdrawal is not quite so bad. As a former police officer I can honestly say, Yes we did keep a 2 liter bottle of coke in the trunk of the patrol car to pour on 'bio smears' after accident scenes were cleaned up.
#22 - Make it about what they are looking for in a hire - "As the manager of whatever, you want an employee that does X, does Y, does Z"... then finish with "my creditials, experience and references prove that is what I can bring you in this position". Just a thought....
Please dispose of any drugs responsibly. They should be taken to a pharmacy or police station that will accept them. Some of the things on the list can be recycled, and some donated. Don't just toss everything on the list! Thank you.
Good lord where were you four years ago. After finally decided to take my writing career all the way, after braking my back and growing by sick, I spent far to much time in the marketplaces lowballing the hell out of myself. This was after my first publication, a short story that didn't go anywhere. I also discovered that a lot of these gigs are for ghost writing, so they don't pay very well well and you get zero credit. Long story short I could have used this advice back then it would have saved me a great deal of time and the sense of failure. To that I will add to all aspiring writers, don't give up.
I have never been audited. My tax returns aren't that big anyway. When my daughter was in college, we used a service. This year we're back to doing our own. Our finances are pretty simple.

I recently had an experience where a person was participating in a 403(b) with lots of fees, so he looked into the system and found out he could switch the plan to a 457 where the fees are more reasonable!

I agree with the deep hair conditioning trick. In high school I had very long hair and would pack may hair in mayo, let it soak, then wash it out. It took a while to get it back out, since my hair was so long and thick, but it sure stayed in place during the soak period.
Great tips! About luggage fees, some credit cards have a perk of 1 free checked bag on flights with a particular airline. I think it's Delta. Also if you bring just a carry-on bag they will sometimes make it a checked bag at the door of the plane. This is at no extra charge to you and is because the overhead bins are too full by the tie you board. This saves you the trouble of fitting it into the overhead bin and saves you the checked bag fee. I see this happening a lot.
To keep from being charged for an overweight bag, bring a small luggage scale along on your trip. Weight your bag before you leave your hotel for the airport. You can then decide what ot leave behind if it's overweight. This helps when souvenirs are heavier than expected. That's also why my souvenirs are usually scarves!

I can honestly say that I have never been audited by the IRS. I am so very grateful.
Not an official audit but I did make some mistakes, another time I forgot to submit proof why the amount was nit taxable (already oaid the tax before)
