I think that Black Friday is an exceptionally good day to stay home. Besides, we've been clearing out our excess stuff and aren't at all eager to refill the refreshed cleared space.
I do not shop Black Friday. In fact, because we are trying to get our finances in order, 2 adult full-time college students, we don't shop any of the sales.
There is your problem right there! Most Bad debts do have an expiration date! It used to be bad debts would be ae obliged to remove automatically removed after 7 years. Since it has changed, I believe now it is 10 years.
Here is the drag...all the credit reporting agencies can't be trusted to make sure that is done, therefore it becomes your responsibility to monitor your credit report, then IN WRITING request to that agency to REMOVE those bad debts, and they are obligated to remove and update your credit file. Check, and if it has not been done in 3 months, ride them by MAIL and PHONE until they do!
Now remember, with those 13 year old debts, if you made ANY payments to those debts anytime after the initial date it was reported, then you have just RENEWED that debt as of the date that payment was reported. So, if you had a debt reported in 2002, and say in 2010 you decide to make a payment, the debt is renewed starting 2010.
It could help your wife a great deal, but remember, you both will have positive credit reporting "Provided she is making all payments on Time." That is assuming you currently make your payments as well.
It also helps a great deal if you both try not to make charges that are over half of your credit limit. So if your limit is say, $1000.00, try to keep your monthly balance at $500 or less.
I have seen on facebook where a lady takes a tube sock and makes a snowman out of it for a cute Christmas decoration. I am sure there are many other uses for crafts for old socks....if you look online you could probably come up with a lot of craft projects that uses socks.
I do not go and shop black friday anymore. Too many times I went to get something and it was sold out already. I dont bother with it anymore. I do shop online and watch for great deals on Black Friday though!
This is just bad advice. My wife and I got a loan modification and our home was saved from foreclosure. How does it hurt to apply since this is available to people who could not otherwise keep their home?
I've had luck as follows: Home Depot sells sheets of coroplast, (corrugated plastic much the same as cardboard) which doesn't "turn to mush" in wet conditions. They make signs out of this stuff which you may see during elections! Cut it to the full dimensions of your windshield. I melt two holes on each side and run elastic cord through both to make a loop. These go over your side view mirrors to keep it in place. I find it best to make sure I cover the windshield wipers too as they collect a lot of snow overnight. Set it at the end of the day and take it off in the morning and your windshield will be perfectly clear. Store the sheet safe from the wind. Doesn't help with side and rear windows but those are easy to scrape.
But if you got pregnant n have obamacare, they send you to Medicaid n Medicaid finds u not qualified n u left stranded with no insurance or one with hefty oop, it's my experience n I can't afford big bill but I'll try to pay what I can or I'll give up my baby to someone who can cover d bill n her well being.
I shop on black Friday. Though I never go for the "door busters". I guess I'm lucky that I live in an area where the madness REALLY dies down when the door busters are gone. If a store has advertisements of "Sale starts 6pm, 8pm etc" I go a couple of hours after. I buy stocking stuffers, some toys, and things for my home such as sheets, towels, etc. I find that going in the middle of the night is much better than say 7am.
I clean and strop my disposable razors so that they last twice as long. I also buy Gillette's two blade unit because it cleans easily and its cost per shave is much lower than the units with more blades per head.
you must be in mgt, after 30 years, how things have changed and now with new hires who don't care, misdeliver constantly, and are only keeping the job until something better with benefits comes along, I cant wait to retire in 5 years. I wish they would offer a early out for carriers. An early out for carriers will never happen, because we are the ones that the public trusts, we are the face of the post office. My customers don't even bother to complain anymore, just leave notes and misdelivered mail in the box for me to cleanup after my day off. I don't have the "hi, how are you today", anymore, just the "this was misdelivered, when you were off". Volumes double and triple, and they still want you done before dark and back on time. STRESSFUL, YES
I did not shop on black Friday this year. Too busy doing other stuff with family :)

I stayed home and shopped through ebates. I got most of my shopping done and earned 7% back from Walmart!

I go Black Friday shopping but I don't wake up early. I just like to get out and shop!

No, I hate crowds and we don't need anything right now.
Nope! Usually am flying back from vacation on that day!
I love to shop on BF. I don't have any particular rhyme or reason to my shopping, but I like going out and seeing the crowds.
Yes every year and cyber Monday too

I shopped Black Friday deals online only.
Bill collector. Hated by all. Did it for 13 years, learned nothing whatsoever.

I love these ideas! Thanks! I especially love the "pretend you're a tourist." That's genius. Totally doing that soon.
Love the idea of customized gifts! Perhaps a customized apron or glassware. Beats the typical bottle of wine.
