Here in Portland, Oregon, practically the only way to get a job is to know someone. So my advice is to make sure that every single person you know is aware that you are job-hunting. Have your resume polished & ready to send to anyone at any time. Don't be afraid to ask for a connection - you will have a chance to pay it back later!
This information is all out of date. I have accounts at BofA, Chase and PNC. None take coin any more. At best, they'll take the coin and send it out to be counted, getting any credit in a week or two. Most don't even do that.
As for Coinstar, while the service is free if you get a gift card, you have to be very careful how much coin you deposit. To get a gift card you have to deposit the exact amount of the gift card - a penny more or less and they automatically give you a cash receipt, minus the fee. I deposited what I thought was $100 in coin. After hitting Done, the machine clicked for a couple more seconds and said I had deposited $100.77 and in stead of refunding the 77 cents, they charged me $11 transaction fee.
Let everyone know that you are looking for a job, most people are eager to tell you about job openings in their company or business. That's how I landed the best job I've ever had.
Number 7 is the only one that bothers me. Public speaking is pretty easy for some introverts, like myself; we don't mind it because we are in control of the situation, so its less nerve-wracking than a one-on-one meeting with someone new. And as someone else said, these seem more like phobias than anything else.
Very good article. I had to use emergency storage because I had to get out of my rental, and move in to another home that was already full of stuff. This is just for a year though. If things are not moved out of the place I'm in, then I will sell the things I don't need, and move the things I need to the home I leave in now, by then the garage should be cleaned-out! Your right, they are expensive...one year cost me $450.00!
Network. You'll have an easier time getting a job if you already know people at the company you're applying in. LinkedIn is a good resource to connect with people and find jobs.
Be confident and positive when looking for a job, and make sure that you let the Company know that you really want to job. Do not be unsure of yourself because you will not get the job!!
My tip is to always be honest about your skills and experience and also be flexible and open to jobs that may not be exactly what you want. Sometimes you don't really know what is a good fit or what you really want until you have it so don't close off opportunities.
After inquiring about a vacation house rental I got this response:
"The property is still available for those dates but your email address did not show up here.
Please type it out so that i can send you details of the property."
My question is... why does someone need my personal email if they already contacted me without it?
When I was a kid, my mom used to dilute orange juice and it RUINED it. So we got her to stop by pouring it down the drain every time we found it diluted. Better full strength and used than diluted and wasted!
I have a studio apt that i've just listed. I have a dresser with my clothes in it. Is it ok to leave my things in there, or should i empty it for the guest?
Arrive on time - never be late. Don't fidget during the interview. Turn off the sound before you enter. And don't check your phone!
Tell everyone you know you're looking for a job. You never know when someone will have a connection that will help you.

Remember that you are also interviewing them.
Treat everyone you encounter courteously, even the supposedly little people like interns and receptionists.
My best tip is to always research the company you are applying to, it really helps out if you get the interview.
i don't care i still drink soda

Old Coworkers you've enjoyed working with, even at that part-time campus computer lab job.
Practice possible interview questions and answers ahead of time.

I think letting your friends and family know that you are looking for a new job helps as they can also check with their networks for opportunities.

This is more to do with phobias not introversion. I'm an introvert and I have no problem with any of these. Please research before publishing. Thx

Perfect timing as all of my tomatoes are ripening now.

Hi !
After inquiring about a vacation house rental I got this response:

Thanks!- Fred
my biggest expense this month is rent.
