An individual would have to be desperate to do this work. BestMark will give you 1 hour of pre-shop study material(all their specifications as to just what and how you must do everything, including a test) ... then 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete their detailed shop and driving time, then another hour to complete the actual paperwork submitted online with all the details of the 'shop' written up for them. In my case, it was $15.00 offered for what would have been 4 hours of work plus gas expense out of my pocket. I did not do the 1st shop requested because of this negative financial impact.
My wife and I have been cruising for years. Usually to the Caribbean because we live in South Florida. I think your advice about Caribbean cruises during hurricane season is terribly outdated.
When we spent the last couple of months looking for Caribbean cruises during the summer months we were shocked at how high the rates were. The real bargains this year are in Alaska and Europe. It appears that there are far fewer cruises this summer in the Caribbean and the law of supply and demand have pushed the rates through the roof.
Umm, i work for the cruise industry and prices are higher during the summer months due to kids being out of school. dont know what this guy/girl was looking at.
the poor Tibetans that do not have enough money for fuel do air burials - this actually means that they take their dead loved one on the mountain and let him/her there for the vultures
I had a near-phobia of discount stores like this until recently when our income took a nosedive and I remembered my sister (who lives in Chicago...I'm in Maryland) saying how much she LOVED Aldi. I decided to give it a try, and now I'm hooked. I've had to be extremely price-conscious and find that Aldi's prices beat out our local Sam's Club time and again, which is good because A) it is closer to me and B) I am not forced to buy in bulk (with the big cash-flow outlay that comes along with that) in order to get the same savings. I agree that the produce stinks, so I get that from another local chain that sells good, cheap produce but charges higher prices on everything else. Each week, I taste-test one or two new products from Aldi. Since the prices are so low, I don't lose any sleep if I have to throw away something I hate, like their American cheese slices (blech!), since I'm not one to go through the hassle of returning it. I especially love the Mama Cozzi pizzas, so now my family can have pizza night for $12 vs. spending about $30 for delivery pizza. Thanks for the great article. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Aldi!!!
Life insurance for children is another controversial subject. Getting such cover is not a bad idea if you have the extra money for the premium payments or there's a family history of health problems. Otherwise, it would be more practical to set aside the money for your children's education.

Especially glad you mentioned this DREAM-BUSTER. Shoot, I quit a sweet corporate gig to start my own bitty tour company specializing in travel to Belize and Costa Rica - verily on the proverbial "wing 'n a prayer". This - waaaaay back in the '80's when few had even HEARD of Belize. Indeed in those heady days the nightly news featured gun-toting Contras romping in nearby Nicaragua - not exactly the best marketing campaign for lolling on a beach in the Central American tropics.
Furthermore, there wasn't a single guidebook on Belize in those days, nor certainly no Internet with handy forums for researching the do's and don'ts of starting a tour biz to Central America. Instead, my entire "business plan" was to: A. take a part-time job in HR (my heretofore "career" field) to pay the rent, whilst busily pecking my first Belize trip brochure - on a typewriter at the library!
True, it was a struggle for a year or two, but eventually my fledgling int'l tour biz took off, and I was able to comfortably support myself (not to mention travel the globe) - for nearly 20 years!
In short, following my "bliss", doggedly pursuing my travel dreams, took little more than a 22 cent stamp (the cost of sending out my first press release to the travel editor of the local newspaper), and...
I dare say, I'm inclined to change your/Chris' "key ingredients" for realizing your own dream biz (for far less than $100):
1. Have a product/service that you can CONVINCE PEOPLE TO PAY FOR
2. Have an unrelenting PASSION for that product/service
3. Be prepared for a TON of hard work and more importantly - unwavering (we're talkin' at least a year or three) PERSISTENCE to make your dream reality!
For three months I have gone to a customer service representative with AT&T about these direct bill charges. My latest statement had $238.79 charges for ringtones & downloads that I did not sign up for. My last visit to customer service resulted in informing the rep that the charges are unacceptable. They offered to reduce the charges but not eliminate them. I was furious and threaten to cancel my four wireless lines. They said that the charges would follow me. I don't know how that could be if I no longer had the phones. They finally eliminated the charges and informed me that any charges after that date would be my responsibility. They put blockers on all my phones. Today my daughter got a free text message from AT&T stating tha she had over $50 in direct bill charges. AT&T knows this goes on. They allow it. They make money off of it!!!! I'm seriously considering getting a lawyer and filing a class action suit against these bogus companies. Believe me, AT&T knows who they are. These are losers charging innocent people $10.00 a pop and blaming it on the individual consumer. We have a right to text without having our phone bills hacked.
Hi. My problem is i know my passion (exercise gadgets, reading) but still couldnt relate it to any business. I feel they are many ppl out there who are more expert in this area. Any suggestion?
These are very tasty! I added 1 egg, and i used an extra 1/2 tbsp of sugar. on my last batch i sprinkled a little brown sugar on top. i agree with the comment about making them into bars, and i will definitely try that next time! also one last tip.. if you want them to be flat, you have to flatten them out yourself. and they don't seem to spread out like normal cookies so you can cook them pretty close to each other on the cookie sheet. Thanks for the recipe :)
I was merely browsing for some recipe ideas and kept encountering these crock pot recipes. I should get a crock pot.. :)

Advance screenings not only allow a fun outing, it gives a great way too spread the word of mouth publicity!

Some good tips, thanks for including the money mistakes post!
I recycle stuff and give them as gifts. Saves me money on buying gifts. :)

Have a friend look through your closet. You should get a few "new outfits" with a fresh pair of eyes.

Great advice -- saving money is all in the details. Everyone has a different way of doing it, but the key is staying on-track. :)
Great article -- I'm a big fan of combining new paint with new layered lighting to give spaces and entirely different feel.
Unfortunately, I am style deprived which is exactly why I need a service like Wittlebee- to do my shopping for me!
Like in the Missy Elliot song. =)
