I currently donate to the government debt, however these are involuntary. I think most know them as TAXES; I think that if the debt were wiped out tomorrow, it would be reinstituted the day after - that is due to the greed of the members of congress, the executive branch, and to lesser extent, the judiciary.
When I have more outgo than income, I cut back. Is this a difficult concept for anyone? The Social Security and Medicaid funds have been plundered by previous generations of politicians.
Paying down the deficit would be like buying cheap wine for a homeless person; and I'm no enabler.
Hi, I am a 28 year old female living miserably although I have all the essentials in my personal life that I dont take for granted but I am ready to scream at the top of my lungs. I work and go to school full time i have two sons that require most of my spare time and i have a spouse that cant stop talking about his failed past mind you he is very intelligent and just promoted at his job. I am sick of this routine lifestyle and i really need to find my happiness soon or i may admit myself to a therapist. I am a big procrastinator and i have big dreams but seem to get thrown off before i can complete them. I hate my job but there is nothing out there to apply to that fits my experience. I love helping others so much but i cant seem to find that aha, what to do???
These are great ideas; I enjoy a party more knowing I can still buy groceries for the rest of the month.
Don't forget the thrift and dollar stores for linens, serving pieces, and centerpiece components to supplement your own supplies. I've found tons of great stuff at such places.
I'm moving to Texas at the end of 2012 so I'm hoping to save up enough to move and enjoy two weeks off before starting my new job, roughly about $3000.
One of my faves is my mother's Sweet Yams dish. She bakes them in the oven with brown sugar and marshmellows and turns out delicious every year. Looking forward to it tomorrow.
Mac and Cheese is our favorite budget dish. We mix in a bag of frozen peas to get some vegetables into the kids (both young and old) without complaints!
My favorite Thanksgiving comfort food is mashed potatoes. Heck, mashed potatoes are my favorite comfort food for any occasion. Love my mashed potatoes!
My favorite Thanksgiving comfort food is mashed potatoes with gravy made from the turkey drippings. My favorite budget food is canned cranberry sauce. For some reason most people don't seem to like it - more for me!
If I see something small and low-priced that suits someone while I am out and about, I *might* pick it up, but no, Friday, I am *not* intentionally making a list and checking it twice. My friends and family know that I am strapped for time and money. Most "gifts" I give are things people need throughout the year as I see them, and it does not make financial sense for me to save up and spend on Black Friday.
Can't wait to make our favorite budget dishes! Making corn casserole, turkey, ham, and stuffing! One of my favorite holidays of the year. Making things from scratch is my favorite way to save! :)
My favorite thanksgiving dish is, without a doubt, stuffing! My mom makes the most amazing stuffing. Due to a family death, we aren't all together this year which is disappointing.
Stuffing is my favorite Thanksgiving budget dish! You can make it whatever way you want & I love it so I eat it all year around usually tossing in whatever I have on hand!
Macaroni n cheese is another fairly cheap side dish for Thanksgiving...and a comfort food. I am making it right now to take to a dinner tonight.

My favorite comfort food is pumpkin pie. Just put a dollop of whip cream on it and it's delish.

My number 1 goal is pay off my last credit card bill and #2 is to put $5,000 in a Roth IRA. Thanks, Adam
My favorite is definitely mashed potatoes. I love them with or without gravy.

I will be staying as far away from all stores as possible on Friday!

We are striving to build up an emergency fund. My other goal is to pay off or get close to paying off our credit card debt in 2012.
My goal is to prepare for our new baby arriving in April, while taking a pay cut so I can spend some time at home with baby.
My goal is to stop moving further into debt and start paying my debt down in 2012.
I make most of my gifts and prefer to buy the rest online, so no Black Friday shopping for me.

I think my favorite Thanksgiving comfort dish is my mom's cornbread dressing. It is the best I have ever eaten.
Love the mashed potatoes with gravy and stuffing. Budget conscious and comforting!
my goal in 2012 is to save at least $15,000 (towards a down payment or car)
