My favorite Thanksgiving comfort food is green bean casserole. As a vegetarian it is my favorite traditional go to food. I just made some this morning :)
My wife just went shopping and bought a vegetable I love. Brussel Sprouts, we only seem to have them for holiday dinners. I'm not sure why, but if there was a comfort food for me this would be it.
Mashed potatoes and gravy are my comfort food. I make them from scratch using real butter and cream. I only make them like this at Thanksgiving because they are very high in calories but they are worth waiting a year for. I also make homemade turkey gravy. Yummy! I can't wait until tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
It's a toss-up between the mashed potatoes and the stuffing/dressing. Both so savory and comforting, I often start making them long before Thanksgiving rolls around!
My favorite dish is dressing/stuffing. For me, it's a great comfort food and inexpensive - a little bread, few vegetables, chicken stock and it's done.
My financial goal in 2012 is to simply put my finances in order. The past year has been extremely difficult with going through a divorce, being diagnosed with depression and moving. I'm having to start over and I need help in establishing new financial goals and creating habits to help me take control over this area of my life.
My money goal? Save up for a trip to Disney World! Saving for my daughter's braces need. Putting more money into our emergency fund. Worthy goals, and I think, achievable ones!
Thank you for the nice comments! I hope it does help make your next dinner party even more fabulous. I'm getting excited for my own first dinner party of the season, coming soon!
This is an amazing article. We all love to enjoy on our weekends and once in week because of our hectic schedule in office. What when we think of expenses all our enjoyment goes. But now onward I'll always take care of all the above mentioned points can make my dinner party rocking. Thanks Janey Osterlind.

No way! I have found better deals on Cyber Monday and I don't have to leave my house to get them.

I would have to say our comfort food would be peas and butterbeans from our freezer. They are so yummy and healthy too!
My favorite Thanksgiving comfort food is Corn Pudding. It's the only time of the year that I make it, but it's sooooo good.
You are welcome Tom!

My 2012 financial goal is to pay off the last of my debt by the end of the year, and to reach specific savings goals.

No black Friday shopping here .... I'm doing it all online this year.

My favorite budget Thanksgiving dish is stuffing. It is very cheap but delish essential part of every Thanksgiving.
I'm only heading to Target, so shouldn't be TOO crazy.
I like my grandma's noodles. I didn't used to but now that I've moved so far away I really want some!
My wife and I plan to pay off our mortgage and all of our school loans in 2012, which will make us totally debt free. :)
My biggest goal is to pay off our *stupid* car loan and finally be completely debt free.
For me it's delicious stuffing piled high with loads of gravy. I've always enjoyed that or a sweet potato

I'll look around online, but definitely not in actual stores!
We hope to finally get to Dave Ramsey's baby step 2 in 2012!
