Yes, I did drink as I was making the list. BUT, I compiled the list over several weeks, no more than two different types were consumed in one session. The reason is simply that I enjoy beer too much to just sample and throw away, so I would drink the whole bottle (or two). If I did it all in one day, the reviews would have been hilarious by the end!
In 2012 after I graduate from Baruch College, I plan to start paying off my student loans as fast as I can. This money planner can definitely assist me with my goal of paying off my loans and control my discretionary spending.
My financial goal for 2012 is to better track my actual spending to create a reasonable budget that will finally include the build up of an emergency fund and savings instead of living check to check.
And I also agree - there's nothing wrong with PBR. Just ask Dennis Hopper ala "Blue Velvet."
What about any of the Leinenkugel's beers. Those are pretty inexpensive at least where I live (in WI where it's made) you can usually get it $6.99 for 6 pack of bottles.
Some of them are misses and others are hits. I'm not a fan of their Blueberry Wheat, but Creamy Dark is amazing, and pure and simple Honey Weiss is a classic.
Home made mashed potatoes are my favorite budget and comfort food at Thanksgiving. Potatoes aren't expensive and I always have milk and butter on hand. Mashed potatoes are filling and delicious!
My 2012 goal is to be able to pay more than requested/due for my student loans for the year to help decrease interest owed and overall amount due. Student loans are my only outstanding unpayed debt. I have no car payment, no credit cards, and don't own a house. Having this paid off faster would be ideal to actually save money in the long run.
What an interesting idea. It would be great to have a money planner and keep track of what one is doing to earn and save money.
I have started an online business in the self development area and plan on giving workshops and seminars on developing or building up self-esteem, self-confidence and self-worth. I will start in schools and senior citizens groups for free or low cost and have audios and dvd for sale on ways of increasing or building one's self-esteem, confidence and worth.
My favorite Thanksgiving dish is sweet potato casserole that is only available during the holidays because it is made by grandma. It is the only thing that the entire family enjoys that has sweet potatoes in and it is my absolute favorite.
Sweet potatoes can be budget friendly as a Thanksgiving side dish. Right now they're on sale 67c/lb and we usually get the big ones, bake them, then cut them up and serve them with butter. This is a simple, cheap, favorite of my family.
In the coming year, I intend to double my savings deposits. I am encouraged by the amount I was able to bolster my savings this year despite this economy. Working with my wife and laying out goals for each 90 day segment of the year helped us this year.

In 2012, I wish to have paid off all interest on my student loans, 25% of my total student loans, and have a minimum emergency fund of $1500.

Begin regular, consistent contributions to my retirement fund.

I may do limited Cyber Monday shopping but I will avoid retail areas throughout the "Black Friday" weekend.
My financial goal for 2012 is to make double mortgage payments every month so we can retire this debt within 5 years!
6 months of expenses tucked away, and pay cash for a new fence.
If I happen to go shopping on Black Friday, it certainly won't be early in the morning! Sleep is more valuable to me at this point in my life. :)
One of my financial goals for 2012 is to pay off my car loan - it would be difficult, but doable.
Great list - I love Boddingtons!

my favorite budget dish of all time, has to be green bean casserole. I love it!
Squash ravioli are a favorite. They take some time to prepare, but it is a holiday after all.

Absolutely wonderful article! Sometimes the money you spend can be worth way more than that money saved; as you said it's all about finding a balance.
Our finacial goal is to pay off our Debt. Thanks for the giveaway

My 2012 financial goal is to save enough money to pay for my honeymoon!
No shopping. I refuse to participate in the madness.
