I got a new drivers license earlier this week, which was a good reminder of the "avoid close ups" suggestion. I always prided myself on taking fairly cute license photos. But, as it turns out, California zooms in on your face a little bit more than other states I've lived in...I look totally crazy eyed now.
I would like to become more financially literate and a better role model for my children. They are almost young adults and are easily swayed by all the bells and whistles geared towards young adults. I'll be 50 in two and a half years and I would like to have my credit card debt paid off by then.
In 2012 I plan on getting doubleing our savings account as well as having our daughter increase her savings account. I want to teach her that at 13 she is still able to earn an income she just has to be more creative in seeking them out. She will look at writing contests, babysitting as well as other opportunities :)
I don't think anything dangerous is likely to have happened.
Your main risk is that acetobacters will have gotten into the wort. These are bacteria that turn alcohol into acetic acid. Normally they turn wine into vinegar, but they'll happily turn undistilled moonshine into vinegar as well.
If your product smells like vinegar, it's probably gone. If not, it's probably fine to distill.
As a former sous chef from what seems to be a lifetime ago, I wish you worked with me on my private catering gigs I used to get hired for on the intracoastal waterways of So. Fla. Themes, appetizers and drinks set the tone for an amazing evening with friends, family and most importantly, good times. Using what you've got is where the penny pinching flows over to better ingredients for your main dishes and desserts.
Love the Facebook event idea rather boring and over-priced invitations.
Good Stuff Janey! Can I be invited to your next dinner party?
My favorite budget dish is collards and they're my fave comfort dish as well. The smell of collards cooking reminds me of my grandmothers and when I was a child. I didn't like the taste of them so much then but I love them now.
So, I've made several gallons of surprisingly good moonshine (basic- sugar/water/yeast). The flavor was a little like tequila. Well, maybe not exactly, but there did seem to be some "spicy" note?
Anyway, my next question is this- for how long can 15-18% wort sit in a bucket before distilling? I have had about 4 gallons of 18% sitting in the garage for maybe 3 months. Do I pour it down the drain....or distil it? Again, it's just sugar/water/turbo yeast. Anything to worry about?
Budgeting is very essential on anything. You have to set a certain budget on every payday for bills, savings, travel and leisure etc. Live within your means but save more to enjoy life.
I made Oreo Truffles for Easter and they were requested for Thanksgiving. I also make Mocha Balls, same concept, but a package of melted chocolate chips rather than Oreos, plus three tablespoons of instant coffee. They are divine.
Easily my favorite Thanksgiving food is my Grandmother Gloria's Cranberry Relish salad or as our family likes to refer to it as, "the pink stuff". It's not a healthy food by any means but it's one of those foods that triggers happy Thanksgiving family memories.
My 2012 goals are to pay off all of our credit card debt. We've made a lot of progress this year. Next year, we also want to sell our current house and purchase a house with a few acres.
My favorite Thanksgiving comfort food is Sweet Potato Casserole. My Step-Mother used to make this dish and passed the recipe on down to me. It is a great recipe combining mashed sweet potato's with a touch of cinnamon and a buttery, brown sugar and pecan mixture to top it off. It is a favorite that everyone asks me to bring. It is so good that it is enough to be a dessert.

Need to save for medical procedures and the time off afterwards. This book/tool would help in the planning.

My goal is to reduce credit card debt while saving for a Disney vacation.
I'll go shopping, and find a few deals online, but I'm not agressively waiting in line and stuffs.
I want to get on my feet after divorce in 2012, and make it a fantastic year for renewal.
We made our pumpkin pie with our home grown pumpkin! Just licking the spatula gave me a jolt of exitement! MMHH, fingerlicking good!

I've become a huge fan of Boddington's. Very smooth.

No way! I'm old and need my sleep. Seriously, we shop for bargains throughout the year.
Some folks certainly consider it a contact sport...

My favorite Thanksgiving budget dish is mashed potatoes with gravy. Not only is it a budget saver but it's the ultimate comfort food.
My financial goal is to purchase my first home (with a 20% down payment so I don't have to pay those pesky mortgage loan insurance fees...).
I currently don't have any plans for going shopping, so I'll probably be sleeping.

they used something similar on ships in the 17 and 1800's I think, it was a cone shaped piece of glass that went through the deck
