Many travel rewards enthusiasts look to credit cards to earn free flights, and airline loyalty programs are happy to reward their most loyal patrons. But what about hotel stays? 

At the same time, there are many hotel credit cards that offer as much value as the airline cards, or more. Furthermore, these cards often come with excellent sign-up bonuses in the form of reward nights that are both valuable and easy to redeem.

Hilton Honors Ascend Card from American Express

For a limited time, the Hilton Honors Ascend Card from American Express offers new cardholders 100,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 in purchases on the card within your first 3 months of card membership. Plus, earn a free weekend night award after your first anniversary. Offer ends 06/27/2018. This card also awards 12X Hilton Honors Bonus Points for each dollar spent with a participating hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio, 6X points for each dollar spent at U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets, and U.S. gas stations, and 3X points for all other eligible purchases on your card. If you spend $40,000 on eligible purchases in a calendar year you earn Hilton Honors Diamond status through the end of the next calendar year. IHG® Rewards Club Premier Credit Card

IHG represents the world's largest hotel company with over 5,000 hotels worldwide. Their IHG® Rewards Club Premier Credit Card offers a big bonus of 80,000 points after spending $2,000 in the first 3 months of account opening for new cardholders. You also get 5,000 bonus points after you add your first authorized user and make your first purchase in the first three months from account opening. (Reward redemption start at 10,000 points.) Earn 10 points per dollar when you stay at an IHG hotel, 2 points per dollar spent at gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants, and 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases. Additional benefits include a free night worldwide each year of cardmembership, and platinum elite status which comes with its own set of benefits like free internet, priority check in, and complimentary upgrades. The annual fee is $89.

The Hyatt Credit Card

The Hyatt credit card offers new cardholders 40,000 points, after spending $2,000 during the first 3 months from account opening. Considering that award nights start at 5,000 points this is an exceptional offer. The card earns 3x points for Hyatt purchases, 2x points for restaurants, airline tickets (purchased directly from airline) and car rental agencies, and 1 point for all other purchases. Each year you'll receive a free night at any category 1-4 property and as long as you're a cardmember. Cardholders also enjoy Discoverist status in the World of Hyatt, which include benefits like free internet, late check out, and more. There is a $75 annual fee for this card.

Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature Card

The Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature card offers new cardholders a bonus of 50,000 points after the first purchase, and another 35,000 points after spending $2,500 within the first 90 days of account opening. These points are enough to be redeemed for at least one free night, since award nights run from 9,000 to 70,000 points per night. In addition, cardholders receive another 40,000 points each year upon renewal. 10x points are earned from spending at Carlson Rezidor hotels, and 5x points everywhere else. Also receive Gold status automatically, which includes benefits like free upgrades, early check-in and late checkout, discounts on food/beverage, and more. There is a $75 annual fee for this card.
