Farecast your Flights for Big Savings

I find booking airline tickets online to be a soul-sucking task. With dozens of windows and tabs open, and search engines galore finding me the "guaranteed cheapest" tickets available, all I find are discrepancies.

When I am blessed with an open itinerary, what I want to know is when the cheapest flights will become available, not what is cheapest on specified dates. I can plan my trip around leaving on a Monday if it saves me $200. But how, oh universe of convoluted flight searches, do I find out when the cheap flights actually fly?

Farecast.com has the solution. It tracks flights like the weather, and for certain routes you can even see a graph of your cheapest days to fly over the course of the next month. (For that service, go to the bottom of the home page and use the "Know When to Fly: Travel Tools" feature).

Farecast is also an easy way to execute simultaneous flight searches with numerous providers like Hotwire, Expedia, and Priceline to name a few.

Here's to celebrating quicker booking times and cheaper flights. I have already found a way to save big bucks on my next few flights. I hope you do too!

I prefer using Travelocity's flexible date search feature.

I wish Fare Cast could predict flight costs further than 90-days in advance. I like to buy my flights as soon as I know I'll be traveling, since they always seem to creep up in cost.

Thanks for sharing your positive experience with our site Nora! Just wanted to make sure I mention our other cool feature which is predicting when best to buy your tickets!

Kacie, our research has shown that flight prices fluctuate quite a bit over the course of 90 days so buying early may not always save you money. You should setup a fare alert to monitor prices and wait for our "Buy Now" recommendation.

Cheers.
