My wife of 47 years just returned home for a couple of weeks after being gone over six months to care for her elderly parents who live two states away. She gets to be with me for two weeks before heading back to help her mom and dad.
I usually use steaming hot water, even on the coldest days in Wisconsin, on windshields that already have cracks, and have never even had an already existing crack spread further by doing this. If an already existing crack that goes halfway across the windshield doesn't go further by pouring steaming water on it, I seriously doubt you could crack a good windshield using this method.
I think so, I think the more you're in the flow, the more you recognize what that feeling is like. It's a great feeling and it only spurs you to work harder and harder. It applies to anything you're interested in doing.
Thank you for this article. Was interested in getting an incline treadmill for walking, but did not know there were manual ones. I used to walk up 6 floors of ramp in my office parking garage each day at lunch, but now no longer in that office. Looks like that last treadmill may be a good substitute. Thanks again!
I am glad i read this article. i received exactly the same card and went straight on line to search 'why did i receive netspend card'. it did look suspicious that card looks real and I know for sure that i didn't apply for any. thanks for sharing, and mine definitely will be cut in pieces and end up in garbage.
Some great suggestions here! Though I've gotta say: fabric softener/dryer sheets smell like poisonous death. There's nothing "fresh" about them. You want "fresh"? Clean with soap/baking soda/white vinegar/water and open a window. Sorry for the rant, but dryer sheets are noxious. Otherwise, awesome suggestions.

My dog is sick as of Dec 2nd and the vet bill was high!! They want you to pay right now. Now I am having trouble getting through the month. This is the first website I came across. Hi Tisha, Such a simple yet effective post, you really do get right to the crux of it. Your point about business plans sticks out to me- no business can get off the ground without a business plan. How can any start up move forward without clear goals, aims and understanding? Thanks for sharing!
Hi Jim, what an insightful post- So many of us hit the proverbial brick wall and think that's it, game over but sometimes we really do need to just take a break and re-evaluate a situation. You mention a concept of flow- do you think this is something that would help in any situation? - Ben
I also have been a big fan of Donna Freedman for several years now. My frugal filter isn't very complex, but not now sounds about right. I make a little game of shopping with friends who aren't frugal just to see how little I spend in relation to the next guy.
I have been ultra careful with money for several months now and got to spend the money on a vacation to see my kiddo in a distant state. Though I carefully priced, airfare, hotel, car rental I spent as much as was necessary to outfit my son's apartment to make it more comfortable. I admit many of the items were purchased at local thrift stores and quite a bit at dollar and discount stores, but all the items were needs/not wants. His gratitude to have us make his apartment a real home was worth saying "no" to a lot of opportunities to spend money these past few months.
In terms of material items...a Webster's College Dictionary when I was nine. I wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder and Pa gave her a dictionary instead of a beautiful doll. I still have it...I used it through public school, as an undergraduate, as a graduate student and now in my career...words are such a gift!
Thanks Donna, for your thinking on this. Sometimes waiting makes you realize you don't really need something, which is good. You figure out how to work around it. And sometimes waiting clarifies your focus. Not only does it give you the opportunity to find a very good deal, but allows you the ability to evaluate the desired specs of that particular thing. No regrets.
I love (and follow)your idea of a frugal filter. Just today my husband and I were shopping for Christmas presents , and I found THE RING I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR for about 15 years. The price was affordable to us, and my husband wanted to buy it right then and there. I told him "not now, it's not in the budget". Instead I had the salesperson write down all the specs, had it sized to my finger and had her give the card to my husband. Now all we have to do is wait for a special occasion.....

I agree!! I can't believe how much money I wasted on disposable razor blades. Now I have a beard trimmer that costs about the same as two packs of razor blades, but can be used for years. Not only have a I saved time but my face is no longer getting cut up! so I'm saving on band-aids too!
The best gift I received would be a kindle HD, for the reason that when I opened the gift, I noticed my wife's eyes light up, so I exited the room and re-rapped the kindle and wrote from Santa to Michele. I do not get to use it that much, but it made my wife happy.
Does all 5 suggested credit cards report to the 3 bureau monthly?
I need to rebuild my credit so bad.
