I intend to get out of credit card debt. Beyond that, I will be doing my best to just keep my head above water until I finish school and find a full time job.
Digit does seem strange. I think the type of person that would use the app is probably pretty irresponsible in the first place, so maybe it would work, lol.
Several:
1) Quit smoking (did it! -so far so good anyway. It's been 2 months and it's a b.)
2) Save 1200 by 4/2016 for IRS (just $400. left to go - I started saving in Nov. 2015).
3) Pay off credit card #1 by 5/2016
4) Pay off car loan by 9/2016 (then reprice/shop combined car and house insurance).
5) Pay off credit card #2 by 12/2016
6) Save 4 months worth of emergency savings by 12/2016 (I have 3 now).
If I can manage all of this, 2017 will find us debt free (except mortgage) and applying all unobligated funds towards continued emergency savings (6-8 months is goal), retirement savings and hopefully paying extra on the mortgage. I'm really trying hard to stay focused but I tell you there are days I just want a cigarette and a really nice dinner out. Sigh.
My savings goals for 2016 is to replace some leaky windows (trying to stay under $2K) and to take a closer look at how we spend...what things are worthy, and what are only lukewarm? I would like to spend only on what we really enjoy and not on the eh stuff.
I agree with the comment above. These are fantastic ideas, but it's hard to know where to start with some of these jobs. Obviously it's easy to find, say a delivery driver job, but I've been interested in at-home data entry for years and haven't managed to land anything. With online jobs, first you have to separate the legitimate opportunities from the scams. Competition is really fierce for good online jobs, and, as far as I know, it's hard to get your foot in the door.
LOL....sometimes when I am in "conversation" I will shorten the name of the "college" that my children went to........then the 'rich' will say is it "xxxxx"? and I quietly correct them and say it's "U of XXX" ........Once they realize it is one of the top 5 Ivys in the country...they seem to "warm" up to me in conversation and are not so aloof........I usually drive home laughing to myself
I don't actually use a pillow anymore (I realized I was always moving off of it in the middle of the night, so why bother?) so how would you go about cleaning the mattress?
If you just don't want a solitaire-type diamond engagement ring, you can also find "anniversary" rings or bejeweled wedding bands for very reasonable prices. I paired the smooth princess-cut stones in my "wedding band" engagement ring with a simple (and cheap) white gold wedding band that I found online.
I have a little sister that I am giving it to! (I forgot it was her birthday) is there a way I could do it for her? She is 5!

I would like to pay off some medical bills.
with a few substitutions, this looks like a great guideline for me as a vegan college student trying to save money :)
Mine is to just keep adding to my savings account!
Rooting for you! Anything is possible. Looking forward to following up and hearing your updates!

Why would the value increasing mean the insurance goes up? Don't you guys insure the rebuild value like here in the uk?

You're welcome Robert. Your shop saved me so many times until I bought my first board. Congratulations on the Ward location, it looks awesome!
I like RNM and ClothingRIC.com

Pay off debt and put more money in savings.

I am saving money for my grandkids college.
Wouldn't painting with it attract rodents and unsects?
Catch up on retirement savings, pay extra toward my mortgage, contribute more than planned to my girls' college funds
