About Silicon Valley Blogger (SVB)
I got into blogging in 2006 completely by accident. A few of my friends were running their own personal blogs while my husband decided to launch an online business a couple of years ago. I decided to try my hand at blogging for fun and as an online experiment -- little did I realize it would become a full-time occupation! I didn't start out as a personal finance blogger but evolved into one over time.
Personal finance has been a passion and hobby for me for my entire adult life, so I eventually decided to mainly focus on financial topics in my blogs, though I also share some thoughts on blogging, business and technology. With these projects, I've learned so much from the online community and have also enjoyed sharing my own thoughts and experiences on the subject of finance.
